A method () performed in a communications network () is provided for assigning, in a cell (), enhanced physical downlink control channel, EPDCCH, resources used in the communications network () for transmitting scheduling assignments. The method () comprises obtaining () a EPDCCH subframe pattern that is based on load in the cell (), wherein the subframe pattern indicates EPDCCH enabled subframes and non-EPDCCH enabled subframes, and assigning () EPDCCH resources to a wireless device () according to the obtained EPDCCH subframe pattern. A corresponding communications network () is provided, and computer programs and computer program products.

Method and communications network for assigning enhanced physical downlink control channel resources

A method performed by a node in a wireless communication network of estimating parameters used for determining a signal-to-interference measure at a communication device served by a base station, and a node performing the method. The method comprises acquiring an estimate of channel condition between the communication device and the serving base station, and between the communication device and at least one base station of a neighbouring cell, estimating the signal-to-interference measure using the estimate of the respective channel condition, and acquired output power and Physical Resource Block (PRB) utilization of each of the base stations, and receiving an indication of quality of a channel via which the communication device is served by the base station. The method further comprises determining whether a change in the estimate of the signal-to-interference measure is required based on the indication of channel quality, and updating the estimate of the channel condition.

Estimation of parameters used for determining a signal-to-interference measure at a wireless communication device

A network node and a method performed thereby for supporting VoIP service of a wireless device are provided. The network node is operable in a wireless communication network, and the method comprises, when a channel quality of a channel between the wireless device and the network node falls below a predetermined threshold: determining () QoS requirements with regard to GBR for services which the wireless device is currently using; determining () an achievable bitrate using TTI bundling; and determining () to enable TTI bundling of the wireless device based on the determined aggregated GBR requirement and the determined achievable bitrate.

A network node and a method therein for CoMP reception of a transmission from a wireless device are provided. The method comprises determining () an available backhaul capacity of a reception point of the serving RBS and of at least one potential reception point of respective further RBS(s); and determining () a received signal quality of a received signal, transmitted from the wireless device, received by the reception point of the serving RBS and received by the at least one potential reception point of the respective further RBS(s). The method comprises determining () cooperating reception of the transmission from the wireless device and determining a TBS for the transmission from the wireless device based on the determined available backhaul capacity and received signal quality; and notifying () the respective RBS(s) of the determined cooperation reception point(s) about their participation in the CoMP reception.

Network node and a method therein for performing CoMP reception of a transmission from a wireless device

Embodiments herein include methods and arrangements for controlling access of mobile devices to a network, such as GSM. The mobile devices belong to an access control class (ACC) and also belong to an additional access control class (EACC) that provides extended access control. The arrangement broadcasts system information to the mobile devices that comprises a first indicator indicating an ACC. The first indicator indicates whether a mobile device is allowed to access or is barred from accessing the network. The system information further comprises a second indicator indicating an EACC. The second indicator indicates whether a mobile device is allowed to access or is limited from accessing the network. Limited access may entail blocking a mobile device from initiating communications with the network, blocking the mobile device from receiving network initiated communications, or both. A mobile device blocked from network initiated communication may not answer a page from the network.

Method and arrangement in a telecommunication system

Method and means for maintaining uplink time alignment

A wireless communication device communicates an extended monitoring window indicator to a core network node. The extended monitoring window indicator indicates that the wireless communication device is capable of monitoring a paging channel of a radio access node using an extended monitoring window that includes one or more paging blocks in addition to a nominal paging block associated with the wireless communication device. The extended monitoring window indicator indicates the additional paging blocks of the extended monitoring window.

In a GSM network, mobile stations monitor the paging channel of their respective paging group. Specifically, when a mobile station registers with the GSM network, the GSM network classifies the mobile station as belonging to one of two categories, a first category and a second category. Mobile stations belonging to the first category monitor the paging channel of their paging group at an interval defined by the GSM parameter BS-PA-MFRMS. Mobile stations belonging to the second category monitor the paging channel of their paging group at a second interval which is longer than that defined by the GSM parameter BS-PA-MFRMS.
