The present invention concerns a disc brake having a brake mechanism. The disc brake comprises a caliper ( ) reaching over a brake disc and having a cavity for receiving the brake mechanism. The brake mechanism comprises a bearing bracket ( ) received from the inside in an opening ( ) of the caliper ( ) in the side wall furthest from the brake disc. The brake mechanism comprises an adjuster mechanism ( ) an adjustment shaft ( ) and a reset shaft ( ). Means ( ) are provided for transferring movement between the adjuster and reset shafts ( ). The adjuster mechanism is actuated by a lever pin ( ) on a lever ( ) of the brake mechanism and is received in the bearing bracket ( ) at assembly.

Disc brake comprising a brake mechanism

The present invention concerns a brake caliper and a brake mechanism for a disc brake received in the caliper. The brake mechanism comprises a brake lever, a cross bar, one or more thrust plates and a cover. The caliper is of an open design having an opening in the wall furthest from the brake disc. A bearing bracket is mounted from the inside of the caliper in the opening.

The present invention concerns a brake caliper and a method for assembly of a brake mechanism for a disc brake in said caliper. The caliper surrounds the brake disc on both sides and has a cavity for receiving the brake mechanism. The caliper is of an open design having an opening in the wall furthest from the brake disc. The inside of the caliper may be machined through the opening, before the brake mechanism is assembled in the caliper.
