A method for producing stacks of individual web sections involves: (a) directing the continuous web to a perforating station; (b) perforating the continuous web at predetermined intervals and forming sheets of web material between consecutive perforation lines extending laterally across the continuous web, the perforating being carried out via at least one perforation element arranged at the circumference of a perforation roller; (c) directing the continuous web to a cutting station; (d) cutting at second predetermined intervals the continuous web into web sections via a cutting element acting against an anvil element, to generate a clear cut or a tab-bond; (e) folding the web sections via a folding roll; and (f) stacking the folded web section to generate a stack of folded sheets.

An end plug to be inserted axially into the centre of an end of a roll of paper, includes a holding element adapted to hold and/or guide the end of the roll of paper in correct position in a dispenser. The end plug includes an outer sleeve having an outer end and an inner end and the holding element is connected to the sleeve by elements allowing the holding element to be axially moved from a first position to a second position, in which the holding element protrude outwardly from the outer end of the sleeve, the holding element being releasably held in the first position when moved thereto. A roll of tissue paper including such an end plug and a dispenser provided with such a roll are also disclosed.

A stack of hygiene sheet products including first and second webs that are interfolded with each other. The stack includes a top panel of the first web and a top panel of the second web, wherein the top panel of the first web overlays the top panel of the second web but has been cut away so that the top panel of the second web is revealed by the top panel of the first web. An adherence layer is placed on the top panel of the first web and the top panel of the second web and is exposed at the top of the stack so that it can adhere to an adjacent stack so that when the last sheets of the adjacent stack are pulled through a dispenser opening of a dispenser, the first and second sheets are pulled securely through with it as a result of the direct adherence.

The adapter () includes first attachment element () for attachment to the solid roll () and second attachment element () for attachment to a dispenser. A dispenser for solid rolls of web material, includes a frame, a cover connectable to the frame, to together with the frame define a volume for storing a roll of web material from which web material can be dispensed, a frame roll support projection, and a cover roll support projection, the two roll support projections being arranged to enable rotatably engaging the roll of web material in or near its rotational axis, an outlet opening in the dispenser, to enable web material to be withdrawn from the dispenser, where at least one of the frame or cover roll support projections is rotatably mounted in a bearing.

A web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material is embossed by printing the web in a selected pattern by bringing it into a first nip between an impression roll and a printing roll carrying a colorant in a selected pattern; subsequently embossing the web by bringing it into a second nip between a pattern roll and the impression roll, the pattern roll having a three dimensional pattern of alternating raised and recessed portions, the three dimensional pattern being interrupted by relatively smooth areas, so that the web will be embossed in selected areas while leaving other areas substantially unembossed; the pattern roll and printing roll being synchronized so that embossing occurs mainly in the areas of web that are not printed in the selected pattern. The printing and embossing steps may also be reversed so that the web is embossed before printing.
