Modular lighting systems for exterior surface architecture

A trim attachment system for a vehicle is provided herein. The trim attachment system includes first and second vehicle surfaces. A first fastener may be coupled to the first vehicle surface and may be configured for releasable engagement with a second fastener that is coupled to the second vehicle surface. Each of the first and second fasteners may include a substrate and a plurality of engaging stems protruding outward from the substrate. The plurality of engaging stems may be arranged into rows and columns on the substrate. The first fastener may be configured to be coupled to the second fastener, such that the plurality of engaging stems of the first fastener engage the plurality of engaging stems of the second fastener and the rows of the first fastener are generally perpendicular to the rows of the second fastener.

Trim attachment system

A lamp assembly having a lamp housing defining a cavity with at least one side. The at least one side has vent passage. A heat shield is coupled to at least one side and at least partially aligned with the vent passage to provide ventilation to the lamp housing.
