A presence alert system includes an imaging sensor, an audio sensor and a local control panel. The imaging sensor is configured to image a presence and output associated image data. The audio sensor is configured to record a voice of the presence and output associated voice data. The local control panel includes a processor and an electronic storage medium, and is configured to receive the image data and the voice data. The processor is configured to execute an analytics application for comparing the image data and the voice data to respective stored face coordinates and stored voice prints preprogrammed into the local control panel and stored in the electronic storage medium to reduce false alarms.

A system and a method for automatically starting and/or stopping a monitoring device. The method includes detecting halt of a vehicle using a first sensor and a second sensor. The method also includes communicating with a server after detecting the halt to determine a trip assignment status of a monitoring device placed inside the vehicle. The method further includes determining if the vehicle is within a geofence of a trip starting location based on the trip assignment status of the monitoring device. The method further includes determining speed of the vehicle after the vehicle is within the geo-fence of the trip starting location. Accordingly, the monitoring device is automatically started when the speed of the vehicle reaches above a pre-determined speed.

One or more embodiments of the invention describe the method comprising steps of receiving, from a device, information of sensed parameter(s) of one or more items. The method further describes steps of determining, by a first server, an anomaly associated with the one or more items based on the information of the sensed parameter(s). The method also describes steps of communicating the determined anomaly to a second server, wherein the second server determines an action for the anomaly and communicates the action to the container for rectifying the anomaly.
