In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may process, for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) communication in a millimeter wave (mmWave) band, information for transmission, wherein the information is modulated using an extended sequence with a length greater than a base sequence length for PUCCH communication or wherein a cyclic shift, of a plurality of cyclic shifts for a set of contiguous resource blocks for transmission of the information, is applied to the information based at least in part on a resource block group associated with the information. Physical uplink control channel configuration for millimeter wave bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first tracking reference signal configuration and a second tracking reference signal configuration. The first tracking reference signal configuration may include a first set of parameters and the second tracking reference signal configuration may include a second set of parameters. The UE, the base station, or both may identify an indicator for selection from among the first tracking reference signal configuration and the second tracking reference signal configuration. The UE may receive, from the base station and based on the identified indicator for selection, a tracking reference signal in accordance with the first tracking reference signal configuration or the second tracking reference signal configuration.

Techniques for flexible reference signal patterns in wireless communications systems

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence selection. One aspect provides a method for wireless communication by a first wireless node. The method generally includes selecting a type of DMRS sequence to be used for communication with a second wireless node based on a signal quality associated with the communication, receiving a message having the type of DMRS sequence, and performing channel estimation based on the DMRS sequence using the message.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a configuration of a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) to be transmitted by a first base station or a second base station. In some cases, the UE may be served by the first base station and the UE may receive, from the first base station or the second base station, a message indicating that a transmission of at least one SSB of the set of SSBs is canceled and indicating resources for a signal (e.g., a reference signal, alternative SSB transmission) to be transmitted by the first base station or the second base station as an alternative to the canceled at least one SSB. The UE may receive, based on the received message from the first base station or the second base station, the signal using the indicated resources.

Indication methods for synchronization signal block configuration changes

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus may receive, from a base station via a DCI message, an indication of at least one K1 value corresponding to a plurality of physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions over a plurality of PDSCH resources. The DCI message may comprise scheduling information for the plurality of PDSCH transmissions. The at least one K1 value may be associated with at least one physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource and indicative of a PDSCH-to-hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) timing. The apparatus may transmit, to the base station via the at least one PUCCH resource, at least one acknowledgment/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) indication associated with the at least one K1 value and corresponding to the plurality of PDSCH resources.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a base station, an indication of a time gap value associated with a random access channel (RACH) procedure, wherein the time gap value is based at least in part on a capability of the base station, determine whether a physical RACH (PRACH) occasion associated with the RACH procedure is valid based at least in part on receiving the indication of the time gap value associated with the RACH procedure, and selectively transmit, to the base station, a PRACH transmission in the PRACH occasion based at least in part on determining whether the PRACH occasion is valid. Capability reporting for random access channel procedure

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a base station, a random access configuration indicating synchronization signal block (SSB)-to-random access channel (RACH) occasion mapping information, wherein the SSB-to-RACH occasion mapping information is associated with a first set of RACH occasions and a second set of RACH occasions, select a RACH occasion based at least in part on the SSB-to-RACH occasion mapping information, and transmit, to the base station, a physical RACH communication using the RACH occasion based at least in part on selecting the RACH occasion. Mapping aspects of random access channel procedure

Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for coexistence of multiple uplink control channel formats for wireless communication with power spectral density limitation are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may communicate, with a base station (BS) over a random access channel on a first set of random access resources or a second set of random access resources, a random access request based on a comparison between an intended transmit power of the random access request and a reference transmit power threshold. The UE may communicate, on a first set of uplink resources, a control message for initial network access when the random access request is communicated on the first set of random access resources. The UE also may communicate, on a second set of uplink resources, the control message when the random access request is communicated on the second set of random access resources.

Coexistence of multiple uplink control channel formats for wireless communication with power spectral density limitation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some systems may support wireless communications in high frequency millimeter wave (mmW) bands, such as frequency range 4 (FR4) or other frequency ranges. To support such communications, a base station may dynamically configure a cyclic prefix (CP) length for single carrier waveform communications. The base station may determine the CP length to handle a beam switching delay, a delay spread of a physical propagation channel, or both. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may provide feedback to the base station, and the base station may configure the UE with a CP length based on the feedback. The base station may transmit a configuration message to a UE indicating the configured CP length. A single carrier waveform with the configured CP length may maintain a symbol-level alignment with other supported waveforms, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveforms.
