Systems and methods for generating product image maps are disclosed. An image containing at least one object is received, and the object is extracted to determine whether it corresponds to a product available via an electronic commerce system. An image map can be generated so that a user interface including hyperlinks to the product in the electronic commerce system can be employed.

A tools management module of an electronic marketplace may be provided to analyze tool use information for previous and existing users of the electronic marketplace. In some examples, the user information may characterize the action of the previous and existing users with respect to one or more tools. Based at least in part on the analyzed information, the tools management module may be configured to predict relevant tools for new users of the electronic marketplace and to also predict relevant users for new tools of the electronic marketplace.

Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating collaborative browsing of a network site by multiple users. A user interface is rendered by a computing device, and the user interface facilitates participation in a collaborative browsing session by multiple users including a master user and one or more other users. The user interface includes a browsing window that facilitates browsing of a network site by the master user. An indication of a status change of the browsing window is sent to another computing device when the computing device corresponds to a client in use by the master user.

An image of an item is obtained in one or more computing devices. The item is identified from the image based at least in part on data derived from reference images that are each associated with one or more items. Catalog data corresponding to the item is associated with the image. The catalog data is added to a merchant catalog in an electronic marketplace.

Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating expedited registration of sellers in an electronic marketplace. It is determined in one or more computing devices whether a buyer in an electronic marketplace is preapproved for registration as a seller in the electronic marketplace based at least in part on one or more factors related to a history of the buyer in the electronic marketplace. The buyer is invited to register as a seller in the electronic marketplace using an expedited registration process when the buyer is preapproved. The expedited registration procedure leverages previously collected data that is associated with the buyer to omit one or more data collection tasks.

Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating collaborative browsing of a network site by multiple users. A user interface is rendered in a computing device, and the user interface facilitates participation in a collaborative browsing session by multiple users including a master user and one or more other users. The user interface includes a browsing window that is configured to facilitate browsing of a network site by the master user. An indication of a status change of the browsing window is sent to another computing device when the computing device corresponds to a client in use by the master user. The indication of the status change excludes graphical screen capture data. The status change is replicated in the browsing window when the computing device corresponds to a client in use by the one or more other users.

A graph including a hub corresponding to a selected or primary item or keyword and a plurality of nodes corresponding to related or secondary items or keywords may be used to express the relationships between items or keywords. Optionally, the graph may include a plurality of tethers extending between the hub and each of the nodes. When used in Internet-based commerce, the relationship graph may recommend related secondary items to a customer who is searching for a primary item, and may further express the degree of relationship between the primary item and each of the secondary items. When the customer selects a node corresponding to a secondary item, a new set of nodes corresponding to tertiary items related to the selected secondary item may be displayed. In this manner, the relationships between the primary item and more distant tertiary items may also be represented to the customer.
