Device context-based user interface techniques are described. In one or more embodiments, a context is determined for a device based on a configuration of hardware associated with the device. When the configuration of hardware associated with the device changes, the context of the device may also change. Based on the determined context of the device, a user interface configuration may be selected for display. For example, when the device is connected to a mouse or a keyboard a user interface configuration may be selected that facilitates interactions performed substantially with a mouse and keyboard. However, when a mouse and keyboard are not connected to the device, but touch functionality of the device is used, a user interface configuration may be selected that facilitates interactions performed substantially using the touch functionality. A user interface for an application may be configured using the selected user interface configuration.

Device context-based user interface

Disclosed are various embodiments for a computing device that receives input, from a user, selecting an area of a displayed image, where the area includes the blemish sought to be corrected by the user. The computing device identifies a spot pattern of the blemish to be corrected within the area and a context pattern of the displayed image. The computing device corrects the spot pattern of the blemish within the displayed image. The computing device identifies related images that have context patterns similar to the context pattern of the displayed image. The computing device automatically corrects similar instances of the spot pattern appearing within the related images.

Techniques for automatically correcting groups of images

Content aware cropping techniques are described in which a combined crop and fill operation may be performed in one-step using an automated workflow. In one or more implementations, an image is exposed for editing in a user interface and input is obtained that indicates a position for a crop frame to select a portion of the image. The crop frame may be employed as a basis for a combined crop and fill operation that is initiated by a single input or trigger that causes a sequence of actions to automatically crop the image, recognize portions of empty pixels to fill, apply a content aware fill algorithm, and produce a resulting output image. In one or more implementations, a size of the crop frame may be controlled to maintain at least one of image size, aspect ratio, or pixel resolution.

A computer implemented method and apparatus for identifying a desired object of an image by using a suggestive marking. The method comprises receiving a first marking to an image, the first marking suggesting a desired object of the image and the desired object being defined by a boundary; generating, based on the first marking, a plurality of output images, wherein each image of the plurality of output images indicates a computer-identified object; and displaying the plurality of output images.

Hint-based spot healing techniques are described. In one or more implementations, techniques are described in which a user may provide input as a hint used to automatically determine features in an image to process for application of a selected image editing operation. The user may select a feature in an image exposed for editing using touch input or another input technique. The image is then processed based on the hint to identify additional features that match a spot pattern of the user selected feature. A visual representation of feature set that includes the selected feature and the additional features is presented and an option to designate (e.g., de-select or select) features on an individual basis is provided to refine the feature set. The image editing operation is then applied to the designated features in the feature set.

Inline review tracking in documents is described, including receiving an input to a document displayed in a browser, generating a comment and an option, the comment being configured to describe the input and the option being configured to perform one or more actions associated with the input, marking the document with a tag based on the input, storing the input using another tag in a comment section of the document; and presenting the document, the comment, and the option, wherein the document is displayed in a first frame, and the comment and the option are displayed in a second frame.
