The instant disclosure relates to essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions. The anhydrous hair-treatment compositions typically include: one or more polyurethane latex polymers; one or more bis-urea derivatives; and one or more solvents. Additional components such as silicones, auxiliary agents, etc., can also be included. The instant disclosure also relates to kits that include the essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions and to methods for treating hair with the essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions.

Essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions comprising a polyurethane latex polymer and bis-urea derivative

The present disclosure relates to a hair styling compositions that exhibit non-Newtonian shear thickening behavior. The hair styling composition include: (a) about 0.1 to about 7 wt. % of AMP-acrylates/allyl methacrylate copolymer, based on the total weight of the hair styling composition; (b) one or more nonionic film-forming polymers; (c) one or more polysaccharides; (d) one or more nonionic surfactants; and (e) water. Additional components such as, for example, water-soluble solvents, fatty compounds, amphoteric film-forming polymers, volatile or non-volatile silicones, thickeners (ionic or non-ionic), etc., may also optionally be included. The hair styling compositions are particularly useful for styling or shaping hair and for providing hold, discipline, and texture to hair.

Hair styling compositions having shear thickening properties

The instant disclosure relates to methods for treating chemically relaxed hair. The methods include applying a neutralizing composition to the chemically relaxed hair, the neutralizing composition comprising: at least 0.5 wt. % of at least one carboxylic acid, one or more C-Cmonoalkanolamines, and water. The neutralizing composition is allowed to remain on the hair for a period of time. The hair is also treated with a neutralizing conditioner, which is a different than the neutralizing composition. The neutralizing conditioner includes: at least 0.5 wt. % of at least one carboxylic acid, one or more C-Cmonoalkanolamines, one or more cationic surfactants, and water. The neutralizing conditioner is allowed to remain on the hair for a period of time. After treatment with a neutralizing composition and a neutralizing conditioner, the hair may be further treated with a shampoo, a conditioner, a conditioning shampoo, etc., dried, and/or styled.

Methods for treating chemically relaxed hair

The instant disclosure relates to hair treatment compositions that include a unique combination of components that function to impart desirable cosmetic properties to the hair. The hair treatment compositions typically include a first phase containing a non-polymeric mono, di, or tricarboxylic acid, and/or a salt thereof, an amine, a cationic polymer, an alkoxysilane, polyols, and water; and a second phase containing a film-forming aminosilicone polymer formed by the reaction between a glycidoxypropyl-terminated dimethyl siloxane polymer, PEG-13 diglycidyl ether, diethylaminopropylamine, and aminopropyltriisopropoxysilane, and at least one silicone oil.

Hair treatment compositions and methods for treating hair

The present disclosure relates to leave-on hair styling compositions, and to methods for styling hair using the compositions. The leave-on hair styling compositions include: (a) pullulan; (b) one or more cellulose ethers; (c) one or more water-soluble solvents; and (d) water. The leave-on hair styling compositions are unique in that they impart durable styling or shaping benefits, volume and fullness, smoothness, shine, texture, control fizziness, and provide overnight style, without the need for silicones and/or synthetic film forming polymers.

The present disclosure relates to a hair care compositions comprising at least two or more polysaccharides, one or more monomeric polyols, and water. The compositions may also include polyglycerol esters of fatty acids. The present disclosure relates to leave-on hair styling compositions comprising: (a) at least one sugar alcohol: (b) inulin; (c) sclerotium gum; (d) at least one water-soluble solvent; and (e) water. The leave-on hair styling compositions provide excellent hair styling benefits without requiring synthetic film-forming polymers and/or silicones. In particular, the leave-on hair styling compositions are useful for imparting durable styling or shaping benefits, providing volume and fullness, and imparting frizz control to hair.

Methods and kits for treating chemically relaxed hair

The present disclosure relates to leave-on hair styling compositions comprising: (a) beeswax: (b) one or more glucoside emulsifiers; (c) two or more ester oils and/or emulsifying esters; (d) water; (e) one or more monomeric polyols; and (f) one or more fatty acids and/or fatty alcohols. In some cases, the compositions also include caramel. The leave-on hair styling compositions do not require synthetic film-forming polymer nor do they require silicones. The leave-on hair styling compositions are particularly useful in methods for imparting durable styling or shaping benefits, frizz control, and/or curl definition with a soft feel to hair.
