The present disclosure relates to corrosion inhibitor compositions, formulations, and compounds. The compositions, formulations, and compounds may be used is various methods to inhibit corrosion of metallic surfaces in aqueous environments. The corrosion inhibitor compositions may include one of the following compounds or any combination of any of the compounds of formula (I):

1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidine derivative as copper corrosion inhibitor

Disclosed are methods of using nitrogen-containing compounds as corrosion inhibitors. The present method is used to inhibit corrosion of a metal surface in contact with an aqueous system using 2-substituted imidazoles and 2-substituted benzimidazoles, and provides enhanced protection against corrosion of metals in the aqueous system. The method comprises the use of corrosion inhibitors that are generally resistant to halogen attack and provide good corrosion resistance in the presence of oxidizing halogen-based biocides. Formulations comprising 2-substituted imidazoles and 2-substituted benzimidazoles are also disclosed.

Maleic anhydride homopolymer corrosion inhibitors, maleic acid homopolymer corrosion inhibitors, methods for preparing the same, and methods of inhibiting corrosion are provided. The corrosion inhibitors may exclude phosphorus and may contain a hydrolysate of a maleic anhydride homopolymer or a hydrolysate of a maleic acid homopolymer. The maleic acid homopolymer may include from about 2 to about 5 maleic acid repeating units and the maleic anhydride homopolymer may include from about 2 to about 5 maleic anhydride repeating units.

Corrosion inhibitors and methods for reducing or inhibiting corrosion of metals in aqueous systems are provided. Corrosion inhibitor compositions may include tetracarboxylic acids, such as butane tetracarboxylic acid. The compositions may include other components, such as zinc, molybdate, silicate, cerium, among others. The compositions may also include polymers or oligomers. The corrosion inhibitor compositions produced synergistic results and unexpectedly low corrosion rates.

Tetracarboxylic acid combinations for corrosion inhibition

The present disclosure relates to corrosion inhibitor compositions, formulations, and compounds. The compositions, formulations, and compounds may be used is various methods to inhibit corrosion of metallic surfaces in aqueous environments. In some embodiments, the metallic surface may include one or more of copper, iron, brass, nickel, aluminium, manganese, lead, and bronze.

Benzotriazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors

Disclosed are methods of using biodegradable heterocyclic compounds of relatively low toxicity as corrosion inhibitors. The present method is used to inhibit corrosion of a metal surface in contact with an aqueous system using compounds comprising a purine structure, and provides enhanced protection against corrosion of metals in aqueous systems. The method comprises the use of corrosion inhibitors that are generally resistant to halogen attack and provide good corrosion resistance in the presence of oxidizing halogen-based biocides. Formulations comprising purine-based compounds are also disclosed.

Purine-based corrosion inhibitors

Disclosed are nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds of relatively low aquatic toxicity and methods of using the heterocyclic compounds as corrosion inhibitors. The present method is used to inhibit corrosion of a metal surface in contact with an aqueous system using pyrazole derivatives, and provides enhanced protection against corrosion of metals in aqueous systems. The method comprises the use of corrosion inhibitors that are generally resistant to halogen attack and provide good corrosion resistance in the presence of oxidizing halogen-based biocides. Formulations comprising pyrazole derivatives are also disclosed.

Water-soluble pyrazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors

Disclosed are novel compounds and methods useful in applications relating to industrial water systems. The compounds of the present invention are nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds comprising a benzotriazole covalently bonded to a benzimidazole moiety, and provide enhanced protection against corrosion of metals in aqueous systems. The compounds of the present invention are generally resistant to halogen attack and provide good corrosion resistance in the presence of oxidizing halogen-based biocides.

Corrosion inhibitors

Corrosion inhibitors and methods for inhibiting or reducing corrosion of metallic surfaces are provided. A corrosion inhibitor composition may include a water soluble substituted imidazoline or a hydrolysis product thereof. A method of inhibiting corrosion of a metallic surface in an aqueous system includes the step of contacting the surface with an effective amount of a corrosion inhibitor composition. The corrosion inhibitor composition may include other components, such as zinc, and it may also exclude phosphorus.

Water soluble substituted imidazolines as corrosion inhibitors for ferrous metals

The present invention discloses triazine compounds of Formula II and a process to synthesize these compounds. Particularly, the invention provides one pot method to synthesize triazines nucleus, wherein the method comprises amination followed by using Leuckart reaction conditions of pyrrole/indole-2-carboxylates of Formula I to obtain corresponding triazine compounds of Formula II.
