Some embodiments of the invention advantageously leverage the expansion, dilation or by-pass of the Schlemm's canal using adjustable reversible self-expanding eye stents (SES) or eye tension rings (ETRs) of desired sizes to control and improve aqueous flow throughout the range of the uveolymphatic canal. As such, some embodiments include tension ring(s) or cylinders that sits either inside or outside the Schlemm's canal wall and is at least partially within the canal and/or is partially or fully anchored, attached, adhered, or otherwise held in place with respect to the wall and/or elsewhere in the canal. The partial or complete expansion of the canal can be pre-configured based on pre-operative metrology of the Schlemm's canal to a customized and adjustable fit across the various zones within the uveolymphatic canal and based on the patient specific and evolving needs. Additionally, the SES can utilize entry/exit features for by-pass of fluid, varying control of dilation across its shape that may also allow anchoring, repositioning, and retrieval.

Eye stents and delivery systems

A device for maintaining patency of a channel of an uveolymphatic region or a Schlemm's canal in a patient's eye may include a single elongated element configured for radial expansion of the channel of the uveolymphatic region or the Schlemm's canal when inserted into the channel, wherein the single elongated element is configured to follow an arc of a circumference of the channel, wherein the arc subtends an angle comprising a degree of arc greater than approximately 75 degrees.

Eye stents and delivery systems and methods

A stent is disclosed that is configured to maintain patency of the prostatic urethra despite an enlarged prostate. The stent can include a handle that, in an undeflected position, is disposed outside of the flow path of the stent. When the handle is pulled, the handle can deflect to generally aligned with a central axis of the stent. A capture device is disclosed that includes a tapered tip to navigate a working channel of a delivery device and a hook that can capture the stent handle and be moved into a tube to retain the stent handle to facilitate maneuvering of the stent in and out of the working channel of the delivery device. A loading adapter with a tapered port is disclosed that can be disposed on the delivery device to distribute compressive forces applied by the port on the stent during loading into the working channel.

Systems relating to a mechanical closure or locking device configured to allow for quick connect and disconnect. The systems can be used in conjunction with compression garments. The systems can include a buckle that couples to an anchor. The buckle and anchor can include complementary features that can mechanically interface to secure the buckle and anchor together. The buckle and anchor can include complementary magnetic elements to secure the buckle and anchor together. The buckle can be manipulated to tighten or loosen an adjustable strap.

Quick connect anchoring buckle

A compression garment having one or more flex frames that can be shortened or lengthened to apply or release a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of a user. The compression garment can have a wire made of shape memory material (shape memory alloy). A controller of the compression garment can supply an electrical input to the wire, generating heat that can cause the wire to contract such that the flex frame deflects to a shorter length to apply a compressive force to the limb or other anatomical feature of the user. The one or more flex frames can be contracted in unison or in sequence to direct the flow of bodily fluids in the limb or other anatomical feature of the user.
