Methods and systems are provided for automatically securing account access by verifying account information with an email provider. The methods and systems automatically determine whether provided login identification and account information, in the form of an email address, is valid by a server requesting validation information from the email server of the email address. The request is automatically provided, as a background process, in response to receiving login credential information entered by a user. The email server can provide verification of the email address, whether a password associated with the email address has changed, or if the request bounces. Push notifications may be utilized by the email server to notify registered entities of any changes to login credential information associated with an account. The methods provided secure account access and active sessions subsequent to an email account owner changing a password or terminating the email account.

System and method for securing account access by verifying account with email provider

A method, a base station, an application server and a mobile device for transmitting and receiving media content are disclosed. A transceivermay receive a unicast transmission specification and a broadcast transmission specification for the media content. A processormay determine if a broadcast transmission for the media content is available. The processormay initiate a unicast reception mode to receive the media content based on the unicast transmission specification if the current broadcast transmission is not available. A memorymay store the broadcast transmission specification for later reception of the media content in a broadcast reception mode if the current broadcast transmission is not available.

Connecting to a multimedia broadcast/multicast service channel

A method for devices that are near each other to exchange owner profile information. Upon entering an area where inter-device communication with nearby devices is possible, a key is exchanged among all participating devices in the area and subsequently owner profile information is synchronized between devices. All devices also maintain a count of how often a specific owner profile and so its owner was encountered.

A system, wireless device () and method determine that a wireless device () is detecting a triggering event. The wireless device () then detects at least one signal from an egress portal (), determines that the wireless device () is moving from the coverage area of a first communications system to the coverage area of a second communications system according to the order of signals received from the egress portal (), initiates a registration sequence with the second wireless communication system in response to determining that the wireless device () is moving from the coverage area of the first communications system to the coverage area of the second communications system, and conducts present and subsequent calls via the second wireless communication system.
