Systems and techniques for identifying performance issues and recommending actions during design-time application development include receiving a design-time user interface (UI) having multiple fields associated with data from a database, where the multiple fields including one or more types of fields. In response to receiving a trigger, the systems and techniques iterate through the multiple fields in the design-time UI by applying one or more rules related to the types of fields and cardinality of the data from the database. One or more recommendations are generated for one or more of the fields based on the applied rules to the multiple fields and the recommendations are output to a display. The systems and techniques may include changing the design-time UI without user input using the recommendations.

Application development platform

A method for generating an appendix from document content is provided. Included is analyzing a structure of a document to identify at least one logical element in a content of a page of the document; identifying at least one relation within the identified at least one logical element to determine an appendix topic; determining a degree of relevance of the at least one relation identifying the appendix topic; extracting an appendix content from at least one source document, based on determining a relevance of the source document to the appendix topic; and formatting the appendix based on the extracted appendix content.

Analyzing document content and generating an appendix

A method includes receiving a floor map indicating a layout of a location, displaying at least a portion of the floor map, capturing signal strength data representing a signal field for at least one position on the floor map, identifying an asset within the layout of the location, determining at least one property that identifies the asset using one of a discovery process using a wireless protocol and an image processing application programming interface (API) configured to classify an image and detect individual within the image, updating the floor map with the asset and the at least one property, and communicating the asset and the at least one property to the remote computing device.

Embodiments of the present invention enable users to generate a summary for a document with respect to a concept, making use of inherent hierarchies present in a text document based on subject-object relationships of the sentences in the text document. In one embodiment, a text document is parsed into sentences, and a tuple is created for each sentence, the tuple comprising a subject and an object found in the sentence. The tuples may then be searched for a specified topic to identify matching tuples, as well as tuples that are related to the matching tuples based on relationships between their respective subjects and objects. A summary focused on the specified topic may then be generated using the sentences corresponding to the matching tuples and the tuples related to the matching tuples.

Extraction of concept-based summaries from documents

A mechanism is provided in a computing system for interpreting and distinguishing a lack of an answer to an input question. The mechanism receives an input question from a user. The mechanism generates one or more hypotheses based on a corpus of source information. The mechanism injects a no-answer response into the one or more hypotheses to form a plurality of candidate answers. The mechanism ranks the plurality of candidate answers based on evidence scoring and confidence scoring to form a candidate answer ranking. Responsive to determining the no-answer response is the top candidate answer in the candidate answer ranking, the mechanism presents the no-answer response to the user.

Interpreting and distinguishing lack of an answer in a question answering system

A computer processor determines a first span of a communication, wherein a span includes content associated with one or more dialog statements. If the content of the first span contains one or more topic change indicators which are identified by at least one detector of a learning model, the computer processor, in response, generates scores for each of the one or more indicators. The computer processor aggregates scores of the one or more indicators of the first span, which may be weighted, to produce an aggregate score. The computer processor compares the aggregate score to a threshold value, wherein the threshold value is determined during training of the learning model, and the computer processor, in response to the aggregate score crossing the threshold value, determines a topic change has occurred within the first span.
