The invention relates to products and compositions that may be beneficial in animal husbandry. Said products and compositions comprise microorganisms, such as bacteria, and probiotic bacteria in particular. Thus, provided herein are microbial strains, as well as selection criteria which will enable the skilled reader to find further strains useful in the present invention. The strains, as well as compositions comprising the same, may be administered to animals, farmed animals such as swine in particular. The administration may occur in the first days of life.
