A maneuvering drive for a trailer includes a fastening device, a carrier, a drive motor as well as a drive roller. The fastening device is provided for fastening the maneuvering drive to the trailer. The carrier is movable relative to the fastening device and holds the drive motor. The drive roller is rotatably drivable by the drive motor which is a brushless electric motor with an external rotor.

A maneuvering drive () for a trailer () has a central unit (), at least two drive units () by which wheels () of the trailer () can be driven and which are controlled by the central unit (), each drive unit () including a checking module () by which drive specifications of the central unit () can be checked as to whether they can be fulfilled, and a feedback channel being provided by which the drive units () can feed back to the central unit () if the drive specifications cannot be fulfilled.

Maneuvering drive with smart central unit

A maneuvering drive for a trailer includes a fastening means for fastening to the trailer, a carrier movable relative to the fastening means, a drive motor held by the carrier, a drive roller rotatable drivable by the drive motor and a braking means for braking a rotary movement of the drive roller. The drive motor and the braking means are arranged coaxially to each other. In the flux of force between the drive motor and the drive roller a transmission device is provided, which has no self-locking feature.

A front wheel suspension on a two-track vehicle having a wheel carrier or pivot bearing guided by an articulated suspension link is provided with an add-on part arranged such that during an impact of the vehicle on an obstacle which penetrates into the space bridged by the suspension link between a wheel and an axle support or vehicle body, the add-on part forms a lever arm on an articulated connection of the suspension link to separate the link by opening or destroying the connection. Separation of the articulated connection allows the vehicle wheel to be displaced laterally away from the vehicle interior. The add-on part may be fastened by a fastening screw of the articulation connection or be an extension of the screw. The add-on part may have a bead or a punch ring which has a destructive effect on the articulated connection during impact-caused displacement of the add-on part.
