Optical connector for optical fiber

An optical connector which includes a body including a contact part having a contact groove, a cover having an outer surface on which a protruding lock region is formed, a first insertion part formed on one side end portion of the contact part, and a second insertion part formed on the other side end portion of the contact part. A holder is inserted to be slidable onto the contact part and the cover. A guide protrusion is formed to protrude from each side surface of the cover. A guide slot concavely formed on each inner side surface of the holder in a longitudinal direction of the holder. The guide protrusion is inserted into and guided by the guide slot. The guide slot includes an unlock region in which a vertical distance from an inner upper surface of the holder to a contact point of the guide slot.

Optical connector

A fiber optic mechanical splicer includes a fiber connection base, a base cover and one or more fastening clamps. The base includes a plurality of insertion parts, fiber connection parts, and auxiliary protuberances. Each of the insertion parts having an insertion hole through which an optical cable is inserted. A connection groove is formed at a central portion of the fiber connection parts and extends in a lengthwise direction of the fiber connection parts. The base cover covers the fiber connection parts and is supported by the auxiliary protuberances. The one or more fastening clamps elastically fit around the fiber connection base and the base cover to fixedly hold the fiber connection base and the base cover with each other while pressing the optical fiber seated in the connection groove.

Fiber optic mechanical splicer

A field assembled optical connector is provided. The connector includes a ferrule having an optical fiber, a plug integrally forming a housing coupling part, and an open-topped boot into which an optical cable is inserted, an optical connection member to connect an optical fiber of the ferrule inserted at a tip end side and an optical fiber of the optical cable, a boot cover rotatably coupled to the plug on a side of the boot, a screw cap screw-coupled to the boot and the boot cover to fix the optical cable inserted into the boot and the boot cover, and a plurality of ring-shaped bosses arranged at inner sides of the boot and the boot cover.
