Media content is encrypted and the associated cryptographic mechanisms are stored and accessible either remotely at a networked database or internally within a data storage device memory. Access to the cryptographic mechanisms is granted by associating the cryptographic mechanisms with a data storage device identification and, optionally, a computing device identification.

A system and method for performing actions on a wireless device using action lists and versioning. The system includes receiving, over a network, a remote action list version number, the remote action list version number associated with a remote action list containing an instruction for the wireless device. System, method, and apparatus for increasing a likelihood of advertisement display

Apparatus and methods for providing content by presenting multimedia content on a mobile device; receiving, on the mobile device, indicia of at least one insertion point in the multimedia content; receiving, on the mobile device, at least one identifier associated with the at least one insertion point, the identifier identifying one or more executable content; and presenting the executable content to a user of the mobile device proximate to the at least one insertion point.
