In response to deciding that a given story topic is associated with sufficient suitable visual media items, computer-aided creation of a video clip relating to the given story topic is initiated using the associated visual media items.

A method includes defining multiple moderation tasks, which originate from respective textual articles that are to be automatically converted into respective video clips following moderation by human moderators. The moderation tasks are pre-processed, so as to predict success measures of the corresponding video clips. A method for multimedia content generation includes presenting to a user text that will serve as audio narration in a video clip, and a collection of media items to be selectively included in the video clip. Instructions, which associate one or more selected media items with corresponding elements of the text, are received from the user. The video clip is generated automatically, such that the selected media items appear in the video clip in synchronization with the corresponding elements of the text in accordance with the instructions.

A method for multimedia content generation includes receiving a textual input, and automatically retrieving from one or more media databases a plurality of media items that are relevant to the textual input. User input, which selects one or more of the automatically-retrieved media items and correlates one or more of the selected media items in time with the textual input, is received. A system and a method for facilitating transitions between video streams is provided. The method includes the steps of: (i) receiving a primary video stream that includes a first primary video stream portion and a second primary video stream portion, wherein the second stream portion follows the first primary video stream portion; (ii) receiving a secondary video stream; processing at least one of the primary video stream and the secondary video stream to facilitate a seamless transition, at a multiple tuner device, between the first primary video stream portion and the secondary video stream; (iii) transmitting the primary video stream to a first tuner of the multiple tuner device; (iv) transmitting the secondary video stream to a second tuner of the multiple tuner device; and (v) instructing the multiple tuner device to perform a seamless transition between the first primary video stream portion to the secondary video stream.

Method and a system for transmitting video streams

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system and method for controlling visual parameters of a capturing device to minimize clipping and saturation according to predefined parameters. The method may include processing pixel values of a current input frame of a received video signal captured by a capturing device; accumulating processing results of the current input frame to processing results of one or more previous input frames and calculating a desired dynamic range based on pre-determined user parameters. The processing may further include checking if the accumulated results are within the desired dynamic range and determining if adjustment is desired. If the accumulated results are not within the desired dynamic range, adjusting visual parameters for a subsequent input frame, by controlling the capturing device and if the accumulated results are within the desired dynamic range maintaining current visual parameters of the current input frame for the subsequent input frame.

A method for transmitting encrypted packets, the method includes: receiving a program that comprises an encrypted video stream, an encrypted audio stream and an encryption information stream; rescheduling a transmission of a certain encrypted video packet of the encrypted video stream to provide an altered encrypted video stream; rescheduling, in response to the rescheduling of the transmission of the certain encrypted video packet and in response to at least one encryption timing constraint, a first transmission of a certain encryption information item that is used to encrypt the certain encrypted video packet to provide an altered encryption information stream; and transmitting an amended program that comprises the altered encrypted video stream, the encrypted audio stream and the altered encryption information stream.
