A cable tray assembly includes first and second cable tray sections. Each cable tray section included a rail including a vertical web, an upper flange, and a lower flange. Each upper flange includes an outboard portion having a downwardly extending tab forming a groove extending along the upper flange. A splice plate assembly connects the first and second cable tray sections. The splice plate assembly includes a first splice plate configured to be retained in the groove extending along the upper flange of the first cable tray section. A second splice plate is configured to be retained in the groove extending along the upper flange of the second cable tray section. The first and second splice plates each define a fastener opening. The fastener openings are alignable with one another and configured to receive a fastener to connect the first and second cable tray sections when the splice plates are attached to the respective cable tray sections.

The present disclosure provides a structural fastener includes a threaded rod coupler. The threaded rod coupler includes a split nut for coupling to the threaded rod. The threaded rod coupler further includes a housing connected to the structure coupler. The split nut may be received in the housing. The threaded rod coupler further includes first and second springs each coupled to and biasing corresponding one of first and second nut portions of the split nut toward one another. The present disclosure further provides a method of attaching a threaded rod to a structural component using a structural fastener. The method includes coupling a structural fastener to the structural component, sliding the threaded rod through a split nut of the structural component couple the rod to the structural fastener, and receiving springs secured in a nut arm of the split nut within a housing of the structural fastener.

An interior upright is received in the interior space of the housing. The interior upright is fastened to and extends between the upper and lower walls. An attachment device for securing a non-structural component of a building to a structural component of the building includes a non-structural component holder defining a receiving space configured to receive the non-structural component to couple the non-structural component to the attachment device. The non-structural component holder applies generally no compressive force against the non-structural component when the non-structural component is disposed in the receiving space so that the non-structural component is free to move relative to the non-structural component holder. A stop is configured to be secured to the non-structural component. The stop is configured to engage the non-structural component holder to inhibit movement of the non-structural component relative to the non-structural component holder when the stop and non-structural component holder are secured to the non-structural component.

A clamp assembly for securing a conduit to a strut, the clamp assembly includes a pair of brackets, each bracket having a head section and a tail section. The respective tail sections of the pair of brackets being configured to be received within the strut and the pair of brackets having respective apertures formed in the respective head sections thereof. A bolt has a shank that is configured to be received within the respective apertures of the pair of brackets. A nut has a bore therein, the bore is configured to receive the shank of the bolt. Each of the respective apertures includes a pair of opposite, rounded surfaces spaced from each other and connected by a pair of opposite, elongated surfaces.

A barrier strip for a cable tray of the type including longitudinal wires and lateral wires interconnecting the longitudinal wires includes a vertical wall extending along a length of the barrier strip. A tray coupler is below the vertical wall. The tray coupler couples to one or more of the longitudinal and lateral wires of the cable tray without the use of additional fasteners.

A wireway connector for a wireway section having an open longitudinal end and a plurality of sidewalls includes a connector body having a plurality of side panels. The wireway connector is configured to be attached to an open longitudinal end of a wireway section. A snap-fit component is on at least one of the side panels. The snap-fit component is configured to mateably connect to a snap-fit component on one of the sidewalls of the wireway section as the connector body is attached to the open longitudinal end of the wireway section to connect the wireway connector to the wireway section.
