A modular patient monitor has a docking station configured to accept a handheld monitor. The docking station has standalone patient monitoring functionality with respect to a first set of parameters. At least some of the first parameter set are displayed simultaneously on a full-sized screen integrated with the docking station. The handheld monitor also has standalone patient monitoring functionality with respect to a second set of parameters. At least some of the second set of parameters are displayed simultaneously on a handheld-sized screen integrated with the handheld monitor. The docking station has a port configured to accept the handheld monitor. While the handheld monitor is docket in the port, the docking station functionally combines the first set of parameters and the second set of parameters, and at least some of the combined first and second sets of parameters are displayed simultaneously on the full-sized screen.

A pulse oximetry system includes a wrist portion configured for placement on a wrist of a subject, the wrist portion having a first component and a second component configured to removably secure to one another. The wrist portion can include emitter(s) and detector(s) operably positioned by the wrist portion. In some implementations, the pulse oximetry system further includes a ring member configured to secure around the subject's finger and operably position emitter(s) and detector(s) and a cable connected to the wrist portion in electrical communication with the emitter(s) and the detector(s) of the ring member and configured to transmit the signal(s) from the detector(s) to the wrist portion. The system includes a battery and hardware processor(s) configured to receive and process signal(s) outputted by the detector(s) to determine physiological parameter(s) of the subject.

An electrocardiogram device configured to transmit at least one signal responsive to a wearer's cardiac electrical activity can include a disposable portion and a reusable portion configured to mechanically and electrically mate with each other. This disclosure describes, among other features, systems and methods for using multiple physiological parameter inputs to determine multiparameter confidence in respiratory rate measurements. For example, a patient monitoring system can programmatically determine multiparameter confidence in respiratory rate measurements obtained from an acoustic sensor based at least partly on inputs obtained from other non-acoustic sensors or monitors. The patient monitoring system can output a multiparameter confidence indication reflective of the programmatically-determined multiparameter confidence. The multiparameter confidence indication can assist a clinician in determining whether or how to treat a patient based on the patient's respiratory rate.

A sensor cartridge according to embodiments of the disclosure is capable of being used with a non-invasive physiological sensor. Certain embodiments of the sensor cartridge protect the sensor from damage, such as damage due to repeated use, reduce the need for sensor sanitization, or both. Further, embodiments of the sensor cartridge are positionable on the user before insertion in the sensor and allow for improved alignment of the treatment site with the sensor. In addition, the sensor cartridge of certain embodiments of the disclosure can be configured to allow a single sensor to comfortably accommodate treatment sites of various sizes such as for both adult and pediatric applications.

The second physiological parameter value may be formatted according to a protocol not used by the first medical device such that the first medical device is not able to process the second physiological parameter value to produce a displayable output value. The translated parameter data can be processed for display by the first medical device. The system can receive a plurality of vocal commands from a user and can manipulate various settings after confirmation from a user.

A system for remotely monitoring and managing health statuses of a plurality of users includes software instructions storable on a memory device usable by a computing device, the software instructions causing a hardware processor of the computing device to receive a plurality of sets of health-related information from a plurality of mobile computing devices of a plurality of users. The health-related information includes physiological information derived from wearable devices of the users indicative of an onset of symptoms associated with an infection, contact tracing data, and diagnosis data. The hardware processor determines exposure levels based on at least the contact tracing data, and determines user-specific risk states based on physiological information, diagnosis data, and exposure levels.

The thermally conductive probe is secured by the mounting frame and positioned proximate to the first temperature sensor. The thermally conductive probe extends at least partially through the opening in the first substrate and transmits a thermal energy from a portion of the user's skin to the first temperature sensor.
