This invention relates to an antimicrobial composition, more particularly a personal care composition like a soap bar. It more particularly relates to a composition comprising an essential oil compound and a tetra hydroxy alkylene amine compound which interact synergistically to provide the desired result.

Antimicrobial composition

The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition. More particularly the present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition for malodor and oral biofilm inhibitions benefits. Accordingly, the present invention provides an antimicrobial composition comprising: a. 0.1 to 10% by weight of tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine (THPE) and, b. 0.001 to 10% by weight of at least one compound selected from a biphenol.

The present invention relates to a topical composition comprising from 0.001 to 10% by weight a compound of formula (I), i.e. N-cyclopropyl nicotinamide, that provides improved antimicrobial effect through generation of antimicrobial peptides when applied to an external surface of the human body. A combination of compound of formula I and at least one ingredient selected from niacinamide, picolinamide and iso-nicotinamide triggers generation of AMPs in a synergistic way.

Topical composition

The present invention relates to an extruded soap bar composition. It more particularly relates to a soap bar composition which delivers the enhanced antimicrobial benefit to skin while ensuring that the soap bar is easy to extrude. This is achieved by including free fatty acids in the soap bar composition while ensuring that part of the free fatty acid is hydroxy stearic acid.

The present invention relates to a topical composition and more particularly a topical composition for antimicrobial benefit. According to the present invention there is provided a topical composition comprising Niacinamide and picolinamide wherein the molar ratio of Niacinamide to picolinamide is from I:20 to 20:I.

The present invention relates to a topical composition. The present invention more particularly relates to a topical composition for antimicrobial benefit and a method of disinfecting a surface. According to the invention there is provided a topical composition comprising: a) 0.1 to 10% by weight of Niacinamide or its derivatives; b) 0.01% to 5% by weight of a first quaternary ammonium salt comprising Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride; c) 0.01 to 5% by weight of a second quaternary ammonium salt; and d) a cosmetically acceptable base.

Topical antimicrobial composition

This invention relates to an antimicrobial composition for application onto human skin, said composition comprising: a. 20 to 90 wt. % of one or more Cto Cmonohydric alcohols; b. 0.5 to 10 wt. % vitamin B3 compound; c. 1 to 20 wt. % of one or more polyols; and wherein the weight ratio of the vitamin B3 compound to the one or more polyols is in the range of 1:2 to 1:20 and wherein the viscosity of the composition is in the range of 0.5 Pa s (500 cps) to 18 Pa s (18000 cps) at 25&#xb0; C. wherein the one or more Cto Cmonohydric alcohols are selected from ethanol, isopropyl alcohol and combinations thereof and further wherein the composition comprises a combination of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol.

Antimicrobial compositions for topical use

The present invention relates to a topical composition and more particularly a topical composition for antimicrobial benefit. The invention relates to a specific fraction of Aloe vera extract for enhancing tight junction in skin cells. The invention more particularly relates to use of such a fraction in skin, oral and hair care compositions. The inventive extract of Aloe vera comprises 60 to 95% by weight of polysaccharides having a molecular weight in the range of 2 to 3 kDa, and less than 5% polyphenols, wherein the polysaccharides are hydrolysed by trifiuoroacetic acid.
