Certain example embodiments provide systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for associating sensing information with a user (e.g., a cellular user) by, for example, determining information from both a sensing node and a communication node, then associating the a sensed object and the communication node based on the information. Additionally, or alternatively, some embodiments provide systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for radar and sensing-based positioning.

Associating sensing information with a user

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for machine learning based channel state information (CSI) estimation and feedback configuration are provided. A method may include learning channel state information feedback from one or more user equipment as time series data. The method may also include building a predictive model for user equipment feedback based on the learned channel state information feedback. The method may further include configuring a channel state information trigger with the one or more user equipment based on the predictive model. In addition, the method may include signaling predicted channel state information to the one or more user equipment.

A network node may construct a map of RF conditions associated with location information within its coverage area. The network node may configure a radio resource control (RRC)-connected UE to operate in an RF sensing mode. The network node may obtain a positioning of the UE from a sensing node. The network node may determine the RF conditions of the UE based on its position using the map.

The first and second carriers may be used by the same base station or by different base stations, and using elevation information determined for the first carrier to determine elevation information for the second carrier avoids computation and signaling needed for separate determination of the elevation information for the second carrier.

The user equipment searches for a suitable cell or cluster to join. If a suitable cell or a cluster is not found, the user equipment is selected to be a clusterhead which will act as the clusterhead of its own cluster. After selecting the user equipment to be a clusterhead and establishing its cluster, the user equipment transmits a discovery signal which alerting other user equipment to the clusterhead, to which the other user equipment can join.
