A computer implemented method for managing computational cluster access to multiple domains includes generating, using a ticket-based computer network authentication protocol, a primary set of keys based on remote system access credentials for a primary domain and a secondary set of keys based on remote system access credentials for a secondary domain. The method includes merging the primary set of keys with the secondary set of keys to form a merged set of keys. The method further includes activating a system daemon to provide access to the primary domain and the secondary domain by a computational cluster based on the merged set of keys. The method further includes connecting, using the ticket-based computer network authentication protocol via the system daemon, a remote computing device of the primary domain and a remote computing device of the secondary domain to the computational cluster.

Techniques for providing a consolidated view of directory changes across different directory servers. In one set of embodiments, a changelog record can be received from a directory server, where the directory server is associated with a proprietary changelog format, and where the changelog record is formatted according to the proprietary changelog format. The received changelog record can then be translated into a virtualized changelog record that is formatted according to a standard changelog format, and the virtualized changelog record can be sent to a consuming client. In a further set of embodiments, a 'changelog cookie' can be generated for a virtualized changelog record prior to sending the record to a client. In various embodiments, the changelog cookie can act as a globally unique identifier&#x2014;i.e., an identifier that distinguishes the virtualized changelog record from other virtualized changelog records.

A method, executed on a processor, for serving a video content segment at an online resource, includes receiving a request for a video content segment; identifying one or more candidate video content segments to serve in response to the request; accessing a quality factor (QF) and a bid for each of the candidate video content segments; ranking the candidate video content segments based on a combination of each of the video content segments' QF and bid; and providing in response to the request, a set of candidate video content segments based on the ranking.

A system, method, computer program and article of manufacture for updateable fan-out replication with reconfigurable master association in a large, multi-node LDAP environment. A replication ring supports the addition of fan-out nodes as children to each primary node that sits on a replication ring. The fan-out nodes can be cascaded in multiple parent/child relationships and can support full replication or a subset of the parent data. Each child/parent relationship is defined by an agreement. Each fan-out node replicates changes to their immediate children and parent based upon the change details and the configured agreement, distributing the replication load.

Systems and methods for testing and deploying LDAP applications are disclosed. A test application may be tested in a test environment including a test directory. The test application may change data stored in the test directory. Furthermore, the test directory may be configured to receive changes from a production directory in a production environment. When the application is ready to be deployed, changes to the test directory are migrated to the production directory through reverse replication or application data migration. The application is configured to connect to the production directory, and the application is thereby deployed in the production environment.
