An antimicrobial composition that includes: an antimicrobial component having at least one quaternary ammonium compound; a cationic polysaccharide; an organic acid; and a surfactant selected from cationic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, nonionic surfactants and combinations thereof. This composition when applied to a surface provides robust long lasting disinfection.

Compositions and methods for long lasting disinfection

The present disclosure provides an antimicrobial composition that includes: an antimicrobial component having at least one quaternary ammonium compound; a synthetic polymer that includes: at least one cationic monomer A, optionally, at least one anionic monomer B, and optionally, at least one non-ionic monomer C; an organic acid; and a surfactant selected from cationic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants and combinations thereof; and at least one non-ionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of low hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) non-ionic surfactants with a delocalized electronic structure that have moderate to poor water solubility. This composition when applied to a surface demonstrates good cleaning ability and provides robust long lasting disinfection.

Long lasting disinfectant cleaning composition comprising an amne oxide/nonionic surfactant mixture

Polysaccharide slurries with environmentally friendly activator solvents

An auto-emulsifying cleaning composition capable of emulsifying upon contact with water, the composition in one typical embodiment comprising, based on the total weight of the composition, (a) from about 1% to about 99% by weight a blend of dibasic esters; (b) from about 1% to about 40% by weight of a blend of surfactants consisting of an organic anion neutralized with an organic cation, where either or both of the anion and the cation have surfactant properties, and the complex of which is soluble in the dibasic ester solvent blend. The blend of surfactants is typically a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, which may or may not be used in conjunction with non-ionic surfactants. The dibasic esters are be derived from a blend of adipic, glutaric, and succinic diacids, and, in one particular embodiment, the blend comprises dialkyl adipate, dialkyl methylglutarate and dialkyl ethylsuccinate, wherein the alkyl groups individually comprise a C-Chydrocarbon group.

Auto-emulsifying cleaning systems and methods for use

A heavy oil cleaning composition comprising: a) a blend of dibasic esters comprising dialkyl methylglutarate and at least one of a dialkyl adipate or dialkyl ethylsuccinate; b) at least one terpene; and c) at least one surfactant. Also described are methods for delivering a solvent at reduced concentration comprising the steps of: a) obtaining a terpene-based solvent; and b) mixing the terpene-based solvent with a carrier fluid (the carrier fluid comprising a microemulsion of i) a blend of dibasic esters selected from the group consisting of dialkyl methylglutarate, dialkyl adipate, dialkyl ethylsuccinate, dialkyl succinate, dialkyl glutarate and any combination thereof, ii) at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of a terpene alkoxylate, an alcohol alkoxylate and any combination thereof; and iii) water) in order to obtain a mixture to clean heavy oils.

Dibasic esters utilized as terpene co-solvents, substitutes and/or carriers in tar sand/bitumen/asphaltene cleaning applications

An environmentally-friendly cleaning composition for industrial and consumer applications comprising (a) a blend of dibasic esters, (b) one or more surfactants (c) and, optionally, (d) water or a solvent. The dibasic esters are be derived from a blend of adipic, glutaric, and succinic diacids, and, in one particular embodiment, the blend comprises dialkyl adipate, dialkyl methylglutarate and dialkyl ethylsuccinate, wherein the alkyl groups individually comprise a C-Chydrocarbon group. The one or more surfactants are typically chosen from alcohol alkoxylate, an alkyl phenol ethoxylate, a terpene, a terpene alkoxylate or any derivates thereof. Optionally, additional components or additives including delaminates such as pinene and d-limonene, fragrances, whiteners, stabilizers, thickeners and the like can be added to the composition. The industrial or consumer application selected from the group consisting of a graffiti cleaner, a painted-substrate cleaner, an ink cleaner, a metal substrate cleaner, a plastic substrate cleaner, an environmentally friendly cleaner, a stain-spot cleaner, an industrial hand cleaner, a resin cleaner, a tar resin cleaner, a textile cleaner, a paint stripper and any combination thereof.

Cleaning compositions incorporating green solvents and methods for use

A method for treating a contaminated substrate comprising the steps of contacting an emulsion to a substrate surface soiled with one or more contaminants, the emulsion comprising a blend of dibasic esters, whereby the emulsion is capable of emulsifying all or some of the contaminants, forming a resulting emulsion; removing substantially all of the resulting emulsion from the substrate surface; and, optionally, in recovering the contaminant, adding an amount of water or a solvent to the resulting emulsion effective to form at least a first phase layer comprising a substantial amount of the contaminant and a second phase layer comprising a substantial amount of the emulsion. The dibasic esters can be a blend of adipic, glutaric, and succinic diacids, and, in one particular embodiment, the blend comprises dialkyl methylglutarate and dialkyl ethylsuccinate, wherein the alkyl groups individually comprise a C-Chydrocarbon group. The one or more surfactants and additional components can be added.

Methods for cleaning recyclable substrates or containers

The instant invention relates to an aqueous paint composition comprising a mixture of: (1) an aqueous paint; (2) a colloidal dispersion of a cerium compound, said dispersion having a pH of at least 5, and comprising a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer (i) obtained by polymerizing at least one monomer (I), corresponding to the following: (I): ethylenically unsaturated, linear or branched, aliphatic, cyclic or aromatic monocarboxylic or polycarboxylic acid, or anhydride; and, optionally, a monomer corresponding to II): a polyoxyalkylenated ester of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid; and (3) a base. The instant invention also relates to paints and varnishes containing said composition.

The instant invention relates to a liquid composition comprising a mixture of: (1) water and/or a polar solvent; (2) a colloidal dispersion of mineral particles; and (3) a phosphonate terminated poly(oxyalkene) polymer; the invention also relates to process for stabilizing aqueous and/or solvent-based dispersions of mineral particles comprising the step of adding an efficient stabilising amount of a phosphonate terminated poly(oxyalkene) polymer.
