Embodiments are directed to an over-current protection assembly that includes a mechanism having a first operating element and a second operating element. The first operating element is coupled to a first set of individual contacts. The second operating element is coupled to a second set of individual contacts. A single movement of the first operating element relative to the second operating element breaks a plurality of electrical contacts or paths between the first set of individual contacts and the second set of individual contacts.

Over-current protection assembly

A switchgear housing assembly includes a first switchgear housing including a cable compartment portion and a circuit breaker portion, a busbar portion, and a second switchgear housing a cable compartment section, a busbar section, and a circuit breaker section. An exhaust duct is arranged between the first and second switchgear housings. The exhaust duct is selectively fluidically exposed to at least one of the cable compartment portion, cable compartment section, the circuit breaker portion, and the circuit breaker section. A floating flap assembly is operatively associated with at least one of the first and second switchgear housings. The floating flap assembly includes a floating flap member. The floating flap member is selectively slideable between a closed position and an open position in response to a pressure rise in one of the cable compartment portion, cable compartment section, circuit breaker portion, and circuit breaker section.

A door hinge assembly for use in an electrical appliance cabinet includes a door hinge member having a door plate attached to one side of an elbow, a hinge pin sleeve attached to the opposite side of the elbow, and a flange extending upwardly from the elbow. A hinge pin is removably engageable with the hinge pin sleeve, which is further removably engageable with a top edge on the flange.

A handle operating assembly suitable for use with an electric disconnect switch assembly having a circuit breaker. The handle operating assembly comprises a handle operator extending outward from the electric disconnect switch and movable between an ON and an OFF position and a face plate having a slot therein. The handle operator slidably moves in the slot between the OFF position and the ON position. The face plate mounts to the electric disconnect switch assembly and is positionable between a first position to prevent access to the circuit breaker and a second position to provide access to the circuit breaker. The handle operating assembly provides ease of accessibility to the electrical disconnect switch and ease of assembly.
