A device may determine that a network function of a network has been instantiated to facilitate communication via the network. The device may request a certificate authority to provide a certificate for the network function. The device may receive, from the certificate authority, the certificate. The device may generate a certificate profile to enable other network functions of the network to authenticate communications with the network function, wherein the certificate profile identifies: the certificate and a certification protocol. The device may provide, to the network function, the certificate profile to cause the network function to use the certificate to communicate with the other network functions.

Systems and methods for managing public key infrastructure certificates for components of a network

A device may determine that a network function of a network is to use a secure communication protocol. The network function may be configured to facilitate communication via the network. The device may identify a component of a resource configuration that is to instantiate the network function. The device may instantiate, using the component, a proxy for the network function. The device may configure the proxy to obtain a certificate that is associated with the secure communication protocol. The device may cause the proxy to use the certificate to communicate with another proxy that is associated with the network function to perform an operation associated with the network function.

Techniques described herein may allow for the registration of demo devices (e.g., for-sale wireless telephones, tablet computers, etc.), and the presentation of content, such as promotional content, for the demo devices. The demo devices may output a beacon via a short-range protocol, which may include unique identifiers of the demo devices. When a customer device approaches a demo device, the customer device may automatically detect the beacon and obtain promotional content regarding the demo device, and present the promotional content to a customer.

The virtual friend and social networking services may be controlled and managed by a parent's smart phone or other handheld device. A parent may place limits on when the virtual friend is available and/or when the child may access the social network. The parent may also have other controls, such as who the child can connect with and contact in the social networking environment.

A dynamic mobile device feedback system is described. Feedback may be obtained using a device feedback client residing on the mobile device and a feedback server remote to the mobile device. A user device includes a controlling application for a child's wearable device. A network device receives configuration settings for an event widget that activates the wearable device to send a prepared text message to a trusted contact and to receive a pre-recorded audio message from the trusted contact. The network device downloads the event widget to the wearable device and receives a selection signal that the event widget was selected. The network device authorizes the wearable device to send the prepared text message to the trusted contact when the widget selection time or current location for the wearable device matches the stored configuration settings. The network device receives, from the trusted contact, an acknowledgement of the prepared text message and sends the pre-recorded audio message to the wearable device. The network device facilitates communications between the trusted contact and the controlling application to provide live video from the user device.

Devices and methods are provided for implementing a network resource management system that reduces network signaling traffic through a network. A network server utilizing a communication signaling protocol is configured with functionality that reduces call set-up signaling traffic. Instead of exchanging communication signaling protocol related signaling between a calling end user device and a destination end user device when attempting to set up the call, the disclosed examples provide for determining a call status of the destination end user device before sending any communication signaling protocol related messages to the destination end user device. If the destination end user device is unavailable or is on another call, the network server uses communication signaling protocol related messages to connect the calling end user device with a voice mail server related to the destination end user device and foregoes sending communication signaling protocol related messages to the destination end user device.

The computing device prompts, in response to the first input, for a user input indicating whether the user wishes to place the computing device in the demo mode. The computing device enters the demo mode responsive to the user input indicating that the user wishes to place the computing device in the demo mode.
