Technologies for processing network packets by a host interface of a network interface controller (NIC) of a compute device. The host interface is configured to retrieve, by a symmetric multi-purpose (SMP) array of the host interface, a message from a message queue of the host interface and process, by a processor core of a plurality of processor cores of the SMP array, the message to identify a long-latency operation to be performed on at least a portion of a network packet associated with the message. The host interface is further configured to generate another message which includes an indication of the identified long-latency operation and a next step to be performed upon completion. Additionally, the host interface is configured to transmit the other message to a corresponding hardware unit scheduler as a function of the subsequent long-latency operation to be performed. An apparatus may include a controller for a system management bus. The controller may be to: detect a trigger event associated with the system management bus; in response to a detection of the trigger event, transmit a broadcast address on the system management bus, where the broadcast address is not used in a first communication protocol; and in response to a determination that the transmitted broadcast address was acknowledged, use a second communication protocol for transmissions on the system management bus. The all in one device may include various wired and wireless interfaces that enable it to communicate with a wide-range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, personal computers, smart TVs, and others. The all in one device is capable of being remotely accessed when linked in communication with a second device, and is enabled to aggregate data from various user devices and cloud-based services to create unified data resources. Data that is accessed by the device may be synched with a cloud-based storage service to enable a user to access data from across a range of devices via the all in one device. The all in one device has a form factor that is approximately the size of a credit card, yet is capable of running a full-fledged desktop operating system.

Techniques for implementing assess to Android applications and native Window application on Android devices and systems. A processor board includes a processor that is configured to run a full version of a Windows operating system and Windows applications. The processor board is configured to be communicatively coupled to the processor board in an Android device, such as a Smartphone or tablet. Upon operations and when the processor board is communicatively coupled to the Android device, a user of the Android device is enabled to selectively run Android applications and Windows applications, with the Windows applications being executed natively on the processor board. The processor board may be implemented in a computing card that is approximately the size of a credit card or smaller, which in turn may be coupled to the Android device via a backpack or similar means. The processor board may also be disposed within the same housing as the Android device.

The smart endpoint receives an I/O transaction that originates from the root complex and parses the I/O transaction based on an I/O protocol and identifies an I/O command. The smart endpoint may parse the I/O transaction based on endpoint firmware that may be programmed by the computing device. The smart endpoint accelerates the I/O command and provides a smart context to the offload complex. The smart endpoint may copy the I/O command to memory of the smart endpoint or the offload complex. The smart endpoint may identify protocol data based on the I/O command and copy the protocol data to the memory of the smart endpoint or the offload complex. Technologies for flexible I/O endpoint acceleration include a computing device having a root complex, a soft endpoint coupled to the root complex, and an offload complex coupled to the soft endpoint. The soft endpoint establishes an emulated endpoint hierarchy based on endpoint firmware. The computing device may program the endpoint firmware. The soft endpoint receives an I/O transaction that originates from the root complex and determines whether to process the I/O transaction. The soft endpoint may process the I/O transaction or forward the I/O transaction to the offload complex. The soft endpoint may encapsulate the I/O transaction with metadata and forward the encapsulated transaction to the offload complex. The soft endpoint may store responses from the offload complex in a history buffer and retrieve the responses in response to retried I/O transactions. The I/O transaction may be a PCI Express transaction layer packet. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Technologies for flexible I/O endpoint acceleration

Technologies for processing network packets in an agent-mesh architecture include a network interface controller (NIC) of a computing device configured to write, by a network fabric interface of a memory fabric of the NIC, a received network packet to the memory fabric in a distributed fashion. The network fabric interface is configured to send an event message indicating the received network packet to a packet processor communicatively coupled to the memory fabric. The packet processor is configured to read, in response to having received the generated event message, at least a portion of the received network packet from the memory fabric, identify an agent of the NIC for additional processing of the received network packet, generate a network packet received event message indicating the received network packet is available for processing, and transmit the network packet received event message to the identified agent. Technologies for processing network packets in agent-mesh architectures

Apparatus and methods for cableless connection of components within chassis and between separate chassis. Pairs of Extremely High Frequency (EHF) transceiver chips supporting very short length millimeter-wave wireless communication links are configured to pass radio frequency signals through holes in one or more metal layers in separate chassis and/or frames, enabling components in the separate chassis to communicate without requiring cables between the chassis. Various configurations are disclosed, including multiple configurations for server chassis, storage chassis and arrays, and network/switch chassis. The EHF-based wireless links support link bandwidths of up to 6 gigabits per second, and may be aggregated to facilitate multi-lane links.

Cableless connection apparatus and method for communication between chassis

Apparatus and methods for rack level pre-installed interconnect for enabling cableless server, storage, and networking deployment. Plastic cable waveguides are configured to couple millimeter-wave radio frequency (RF) signals between two or more Extremely High Frequency (EHF) transceiver chips, thus supporting millimeter-wave wireless communication links enabling components in the separate chassis to communicate without requiring wire or optical cables between the chassis. Various configurations are disclosed, including multiple configurations for server chassis, storage chassis and arrays, and network/switch chassis. A plurality of plastic cable waveguide may be coupled to applicable support/mounting members, which in turn are mounted to a rack and/or top-of-rack switches. This enables the plastic cable waveguides to be pre-installed at the rack level, and further enables racks to be installed and replaced without requiring further cabling for the supported communication links. The communication links support link bandwidths of up to 6 gigabits per second, and may be aggregated to facilitate multi-lane links.
