Elements of the geometry of the image of a webpage as rendered on at least one target browser are compared with elements of a baseline geometry of the webpage to determine the differences between elements of the baseline geometry of the webpage and elements of the respective geometries of the image of the webpage as rendered on the at least one target browser. The elements of the image may be determined by a software tool for determining elements of a document geometry, such as a DOM geometry service. Code such as JavaScript may be injected into the webpage for use in determining the elements of the geometry of the image of the webpage. A list of issues that web developers face may be generated and the above differences between respective elements may allow arriving at a solution for at least some of the issues in order to provide testing of webpage information in real time.

Real time web development testing and reporting system

A software application development tool provides context-based data schema code hinting. Code 'regions' are defined in the code for an application that is under development. One or more data sources that are referenced by a code region may be defined. The development tool detects when a designer is attempting to reference a data schema, such as by detecting that the designer has input a specified trigger, within a region of the code, and in response, the development tool provides code hints for the data schema for corresponding data source(s) that is/are referenced in the corresponding code region in which the designer is working. Thus, rather than providing data schema code hinting for all data sources referenced by the application, targeted code hinting is employed by presenting data schema code hints for only the data source(s) that are referenced by a defined code region in which the designer is working.

An apparatus and method for automatically inventorying a plurality of devices is disclosed herein. A secure, trusted connection is established between a remote device each device of a plurality of devices. The remote device automatically extracts device information from each device of the plurality of devices. The remote device creates an inventory of the plurality of devices based on the extracted device information. The remote device automatically maintains the inventory including automatically extracting at least updated device information associated with an update event of the first device.

Automatic device inventory management for different types of devices

In one embodiment, a method of connecting to a client computing device is provided. The method is performed at a computing device, and in this method a connection is made to the client computing device. An inventory of the client computing device is then accessed. This inventory is stored in a storage device accessible by way of a computer network. Here, the storage device is separate from the client computing device and the computing device. A connection failure between the computing device and the client computing device is detected and thereafter, the inventory from the storage device is retrieved by way of the computer network. A reconnection to the client computing device can then be made based on the retrieved inventory.

Automatic connection of computing devices

A software application development tool supports a specified design-time data feed. A software application developer can interact with the development tool to specify a design-time data feed that is to be used during development of an application in place of a given run-time data feed that is not available for access by the application. For instance, a software application developer may code the application with reference(s) to the unavailable run-time data feed, and the developer may specify to the development tool a design-time data feed for such referenced run-time data feed. The development tool then manages correlation of the specified design-time feed to the run-time feed such that references to the run-time feed in the application under development instead trigger access to the specified design-time feed by the development tool. When deployed in a run-time environment, the software application's references to the run-time feed trigger access to such run-time feed.
