An elevator data communication system is configured to communicate between a plurality of elevator systems and a datacenter remotely located from the plurality of elevator systems. The elevator data communication system includes a software-based cloud communication platform and a server. The software-based cloud communication platform is configured to receive and send communications to the plurality of elevator systems. The server is remotely located from the plurality of elevator systems and is configured to send and receive the communications between the datacenter and the software-based cloud communication platform. The server includes a plurality of software-based simulated modems each assigned to a respective one of the plurality of elevator systems.

A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of floors is provided. The method including: controlling a first elevator group composed of one or more elevator systems configured to serve a plurality of floors within a first sector, the one or more elevator systems in the first elevator group further include a first elevator car; controlling a second elevator group composed of one or more elevator systems configured to serve a plurality of floors within a second sector, the one or more elevator systems in the second elevator group further include a second elevator car; monitoring usage of the first elevator group and second elevator group; and reassigning at least one of the one or more elevator systems of the second elevator group to the first elevator group in response to usage of the first elevator group and usage of the second elevator group.

Automatic cognitive analysis of elevators to reduce passenger wait time

A system including one or more processors, one or more non-transitory storage mediums, a data file, and executable instructions. The processor is configured to receive a door close signal from a door close selector and a door open signal from at least one of a door open selector and a door obstructed sensor. The data file is stored in the non-transitory storage medium and includes a door open time duration associated with at least one of the door open signal and the door close signal. The executable instructions are stored in the non-transitory storage medium and is executed by the processor. The executable instructions are configured to generate the door open time duration based on at least one of the door open signal and the door close signal. The processor is configured to output a door open command based, at least in-part, on the door open time duration.

Auto adjust elevator door system

A method for automatically updating software of a computing device of a transportation device is provided herein. The method includes performing, by a server device, machine learning on run count performance data of the transportation device to determine a next idle time. The method includes publishing, by the server device, software availability information to the computing device of the transportation device with the next idle time. The method includes causing, by the server device, an automatic upgrade of the software of the computing device of the transportation device at the next idle time.
