A method for risk scoring a blockchain transaction includes: storing blockchain data associated with a blockchain, the data including a plurality of blocks, each block including a block header and transaction values, each transaction value including a sending address, recipient address, and transaction amount; receiving a new transaction value related to a proposed blockchain transaction and a node identifier associated with a node included in a blockchain network associated with the blockchain, the new transaction value including a user address, transacting address, and blockchain amount; identifying transaction values in the blockchain where the sending address or recipient address is associated with a transacting cryptographic key pair also associated with the transacting address; determining a risk score for the proposed blockchain transaction based on at least the data included in each of the identified transaction values and the new transaction value; and transmitting the determined risk score.

Method and system for risk scoring anonymized transactions

A method and a system for conducting a transaction using an electronic chip are provided. One or more details of a plurality of payment modes and a first authentication parameter are stored in the electronic chip. The electronic chip receives an authentication request including a second authentication parameter from a terminal device when the transaction is initiated at the terminal device. The electronic chip compares the first and second authentication parameters, and communicates an authentication response including one or more details of a first payment mode of the plurality of payment modes to the terminal device based on a match between the first authentication parameter and the second authentication parameter. The present invention relates to the field of electronic transactions, and provides methods and systems for reducing user interventions necessary for authentication of transactions. In an embodiment the invention implements an authentication server configured to receive from a terminal device an electronic payment transaction request and device IDs corresponding to devices having wireless communication capability that are detected within a wireless communication range of the terminal device. A system for determining a preference index comprises a transactions database storing transaction data indicative of a plurality of transactions carried out over a payment network, the transaction data comprising, for respective transactions, payment card identifiers, merchant identifiers, merchant category codes, issuer identifiers, payment device types, geographical locations, transaction amounts, transaction times and transaction dates. The preference index component is configured to compute a paired merchant preference index for a first merchant matching criterion and a second merchant matching criterion by: generating, from at least a subset of the retrieved transactions, a set of payment card identifiers of payment cards which meet both the first merchant matching criterion and the second merchant matching criterion; generating paired data for the first merchant matching criterion and the second merchant matching criterion, the paired data comprising respective pairs of transaction values for respective members of the set of payment card identifiers; and computing at least one aggregate quantity using the paired data.

Method and system for determining a preference index

For each of multiple customers, a computer system constructs a customer preference model using transactional level data relating to purchases the customers have made using respective payment cards. The computer system has access to a database with merchant data, including profiles of merchants. Upon the customer contacting the computer system in respect of a specific product, the computer system (or an application running on a communication device of the customer which is able to access the customer's preference model and the database of merchant data) uses the customer preference model to match the customer to merchants who offer the product and who have profile matching the customer's preference model. The customer may provide details of his/her payment card identify the customer to the computer system.

Computerized methods and computer systems for matching customers with merchants

According to some embodiments, account owner information associated with account owners of payment accounts (e.g., credit card accounts) may be retrieved from an account owner database. The retrieved account owner information may be analyzed to automatically identify a set of account owners primarily associated with automated teller machine device transactions in connection with the payment accounts. From the set of account owners primarily associated with automated teller machine device transactions, a sub-set of account owners to be encouraged to utilize point of sale transactions in connection with the payment accounts may be automatically created. Moreover, a potential transaction spend value associated with the sub-set of account owners may be calculated and output.
