A turbine engine is provided. The turbine engine defines an axial direction and a radial direction, and includes: a rotor; a stator comprising a carrier; a seal assembly disposed between the rotor and the stator, the seal assembly defining a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side and comprising a plurality of seal segments, the plurality of seal segments including a seal segment having a seal face forming a fluid bearing with the rotor, a lip, and a body, the lip extending from the body along the axial direction of the turbine engine on the high-pressure side and including an outer pressurization surface along the radial direction of the turbine engine; and a seal support assembly, the seal support assembly comprising a spring arrangement extending between the carrier and the first seal segment to counter a pressure on the outer pressurization surface during operation of the turbine engine.

A gas turbine engine comprising a set of circumferentially adjacent airfoils, the airfoils having an outer wall defining a pressure side and a suction side extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge to define a stream-wise direction, and between a root and a tip to define a span-wise direction, and a set of dimples provide on the outer wall of at least one of the airfoils, the set of dimples spaced in at least one of the stream-wise or span-wise directions.

A system for determining the temperature of a voice coil of a speaker includes a first pre-emphasis filter which has an input coupled to receive a digitized current sense signal. The first pre-emphasis filter applies a gain to signal components at a selected frequency band and provides a pre-emphasized current sense signal. The system includes a second pre-emphasis filter which has an input coupled to receive a digitized voltage sense signal. The second pre-emphasis filter applies a gain to the signal components at the selected frequency band and provides a pre-emphasized voltage sense signal. The system includes a first quantizer module configured to map the pre-emphasized signal to a quantized current sense signal, and includes a second quantizer module configured to map the pre-emphasized voltage sense signal to a quantized voltage sense signal.

System and method for estimating temperature of voice coil

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving label data that indicates all interface labels that belong to each path ID of multiple path IDs associated with corresponding multiple paths between provider edge nodes in a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network. Each interface label is associated with a network interface on a node in the MPLS network. Based on the label data, an untested list that holds data that indicates all unique interface labels is generated. A tested interface selected from the untested list is scheduled for testing. After scheduling, the interface label of the tested interface is removed from the untested list. It is determined whether the untested list still includes data for at least one interface label. If not, then a test of the MPLS network is completed without testing every path end to end, thus conserving network resources.

For headphone subsystems that employ common ground switches for speaker outputs (for example), there can be a significant issue with cross-talk and ground noise. Here, configurations for an amplifier and switch network are provided, which generally cancel noise from the 'ground switch,' so as to provide an improvement over conventional configurations with little overhead. Additionally, the cross-talk for these configurations are not generally dependent on the 'ground switch' or speaker impedance.

Ground loop noise rejection for a headset subsystem

A detector circuit detects whether a headset is present (inserted) in a jack by measuring the impedance between the connection points of the jack. The detector circuit further determines the headset type (e.g., whether of cellular headset, stereo headset or stereo+cellular headset) by measuring the impedance between the connection points of the jack. Power consumption may be reduced by powering down components which determine headset type if the headset is determined not to be present. Additional power reduction is attained by checking for headset removal only periodically if the headset is determined to be present.
