A method for processing a digital content includes acquiring content data using a sensor. Compressed reference data is generated from the acquired content data. A hash of the compressed reference data is generated using a hashing function. The generated hash is signed using an encryption function. The acquired content data is transmitted along with the compressed reference data and the signed hash.

Robust selective image, video, and audio content authentication

A multi-image sensor system includes data, clock, and control buses, an application processor connected to the data bus and the clock bus, and image sensors connected in a daisy chain using the control bus. A first one of the image sensors configured as a master outputs image data to the data bus, outputs a first clock signal to the clock bus, and sends a control signal to a second one of the image sensors in the daisy chain through the control bus. The control signal has a first logic state when output of the first image data starts and a second other logic state when output of the first image data ends. The second image sensor connects itself to the data bus and the master disconnects itself from the data bus according to a state of the first control signal.

High speed interface for multi image sensor device

A method performed with an image sensor having a pixel array. At least one frame of a scene may be obtained using the pixel array. At least one region of interest (ROI) is identified within the frame. Subsequent frames of the scene are obtained, which involves controlling the pixel array to perform high resolution imaging with respect to the at least one ROI and low resolution imaging using analog binning with respect to remaining regions of the frames.

An image sensor may include control circuitry, a plurality of pixels, and an image processor. Each pixel includes a photodetector, at least first and second storage nodes, and transfer circuitry. The transfer circuitry is responsive to control signals generated by the control circuitry to transfer first charges generated by the photodetector during a first exposure time within a frame period to the first storage node. Second charges may be generated by the photodetector during a second, longer exposure time during the frame period, and transferred to the second storage node. The image processor may generate image frame data based on output voltage samples derived from the first and second charges of each of the plurality of pixels.

A time of flight (ToF) sensor includes: a first pixel including a first photogate to receive light reflected by an object and generate a first phase signal, and a second photogate to generate a second phase signal having a phase difference of 180 degrees with respect to the first phase signal; a second pixel including a third photogate to receive the reflected light and generate a third phase signal different from the first phase signal and a fourth photogate to generate a fourth phase signal having a phase difference of 180 degrees with respect to the third phase signal; a first signal output unit to output the first and second phase signals; and a second signal output unit to output the third and fourth phase signals, wherein the first, second, third and fourth photogates output the first to fourth phase signals during a frame period.

A method and apparatus performing scene-adaptive auto-focusing for image capture with a variable-focus lens. The array of color pixels includes a array of half-covered light sensors to obtain lens-focus state information. The exposure time of the plurality of partially-covered light sensors is dynamically selected as long-exposure or short-exposure, based upon a current measurement of a property (e.g., brightness, or color-specific brightness) of a selected region of interest within a scene to be captured by the array. Then, focus state information corresponding to the selected region of interest is obtained by capturing light from the selected region of interest with first and second partially-covered light sensors. The exposure time of the partially-covered light sensors can be changed based on whether the brightness is greater than a predetermined threshold value.

An image processing method includes the operations of receiving N&#xd7;N raw data from an N&#xd7;N sub pixel array including a plurality of first exposure pixels and second exposure pixels having different exposure times, respectively; obtaining a difference value between a value obtained by normalizing an interpolated value of the first exposure pixels and an interpolated value of the second exposure pixels for each channel in the N&#xd7;N sub pixel array based on the N&#xd7;N raw data; setting a mismatching value to a maximum value among difference values obtained for the respective channels; and setting a corrected value of a central pixel in the N&#xd7;N sub pixel array based on the N&#xd7;N raw data and based on the mismatching value and a threshold value.
