Wireless communication devices capable of both wireless local area network (WLAN) and Bluetooth (BT) network communication, and related methods, are provided. In some implementations, the BT network includes a plurality of BT connections. One wireless communication device is configured to determine an aggregated time schedule for the plurality of BT connections and determine a WLAN schedule based on the aggregated time schedule. The device is configured to remap a BT scan schedule based on a WLAN traffic type, a selected duty cycle of the BT connection, and a remapping window.

Scalable coexistence scheme for WLAN operation with multiple periodic BT connections

A system and method to communicate in a wireless local area network (WLAN) device having a first Media Access Control (MAC) and a second MAC is provided. The method includes determining whether the first MAC and the second MAC are transmitting and receiving on the same frequency band, determining whether transmission by the first MAC overlaps with reception by the second MAC, and relaxing a reception criteria by the second MAC when transmission by the first MAC overlaps with reception by the second MAC.

Example embodiments generally relate to adapting a transmission via first wireless technology to avoid interference with a reception via a second wireless technology. For example, a user equipment (e.g. cell phone) can include radios operating according to first and second wireless radio technologies, which can include Long Term Evolution (LTE) and a technology using the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) frequency band. When a priority request is asserted by a radio operating in the ISM frequency band, the LTE radio may abort a scheduled transmission when certain 'transmission abort criteria' are satisfied.
