Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a control node may receive, from a movable relay node, a capability message indicating a set of operational parameters for the movable relay node. The control node may determine a location for the movable relay node based on the capability message and may transmit, to the movable relay node, a location message indicating the determined location. The movable relay node may change locations or reconfigure one or more relay devices (e.g., reconfigurable intelligent surfaces) of the movable relay node based on the location message. Accordingly, the control node may use the movable relay node to relay messages between the control node and a second node, which may increase the likelihood of successful communications between the control node and the second node.

Reporting techniques for movable relay nodes

The described techniques may support multi-rank sidelink communications that may be reduced to single rank communications if failure to decode the multi-rank sidelink communications occurs. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first message including first data using a first precoding vector applied for a first layer and a second precoding vector applied for a second layer. If the first message is not decoded successfully, the UE may transmit a second message including second data using a third precoding vector applied for the first layer and a fourth precoding vector applied for the second layer, where the second data is derived from the first data, the third precoding vector is derived from the second precoding vector, and the fourth precoding vector is derived from the first precoding vector. The second message may effectively reduce a rank of the first message when the channel is rank deficient.

Space time coding for sidelink transmissions

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communication by a user equipment, including in one example: receiving a relay characteristic report, wherein the relay characteristic report indicates an intrinsic channel delay of a relay device; determining a channel delay spread of the channel; and transmitting an indication to affect relay device operation based at least in part on the channel delay spread and the intrinsic channel delay of the relay device.

Relay characteristic reporting and control

Aspects of the disclosure relate to reporting and correcting a spatial misalignment of an orbital angular momentum (OAM) waveform communicated from a second device to a first device. In an aspect, the first device receives from the second device, the OAM waveform having a spatial misalignment with respect to the second device. The first device determines the spatial misalignment and further determines spatial coordinates for correcting the spatial misalignment and/or one or more channel measurements of the OAM waveform. Thereafter, the first device sends a report based on the spatial misalignment to the second device, the report including the spatial coordinates for correcting the spatial misalignment and/or the one or more channel measurements. The first device then receives an adjusted OAM waveform from the second device, wherein the adjusted OAM waveform is received having a corrected spatial alignment with respect to the second device based on the report.

System and method for reporting orbital angular momentum waveform misalignment

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit neural network (NN) capability information to a network entity. The network entity may train the NN model by selecting a NN-based precoder and generating associated coefficients. The network entity may transmit an indication of the precoder coefficients to the UE. The network entity may transmit demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) that have not been precoded and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) signal that has been narrowband-precoded according to the indicated precoder. The UE may then perform and input a channel estimation to the NN model. The NN model may output the narrowband precoder, which the UE may use to generate a narrowband channel estimate and demodulate the narrowband precoded PDSCH signal. In some examples, the network entity may update NN coefficients and may indicate the updated NN coefficients to the UE.

Machine learning based channel precoder selection for downlink

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate one or more of uplink transmissions or downlink transmissions having amplitude-modulated phase tracking reference signals on at least a first layer of a multilayered communication link that includes the first layer and a second layer; and communicate an uplink transmission or a downlink transmission based at least in part on the indication. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, within a subframe, a plurality of sidelink control channel signals providing scheduling information for a plurality of sidelink shared channel signals that are also received within the subframe. The UE may determine to use one or more of the plurality of sidelink control channel signals as pilot signals for decoding the plurality of sidelink shared channel signals. The UE may decode the plurality of sidelink shared channel signals based at least in part on the plurality of sidelink control channel signals as pilot signals.

Sidelink control channel successive parameter estimation

Aspects described herein relate to processing synchronization signal block (SSB) signals and/or corresponding system information block (SIB) based on whether the SSB is received directly from a network node or from a router in a path from the network node. For example, a signal originated from a network node can be received. It can be determined whether the SSB is received from the network node or from a router in a path from the network node, and the SSB or a corresponding system information block (SIB) of the network node can be processed based on whether the SSB is received from the network node or the router. Other aspects relate to indicating whether a SSB is from a network node or a router in the path.

Techniques for identifying synchronization signals from repeaters in wireless communications

Ultra-wide band frequencies used for extended reality (XR) services operate as unlicensed spectrum, which can result in unexpected interference. Although some link adaptation procedures can be used, uncertain link quality can result in sub-optimal utilization of spectrum resources, which may result in poor performance of an XR service. Some aspects described herein enable use of a fixed quantity of re-transmissions of data for an XR frame, with each of the re-transmissions having different XR frame qualities or different quantities of parity bits. The XR device may transmit a feedback message indicating whether the first transmission was successful and may receive a second transmission with additional data for the XR frame. In this way, the XR device can ensure a more efficient use of network resources.

Adaptive extended reality transmissions for ultra-wide band communications

In some aspects, a mobile station may transmit an indication of supported types of signaling hardware of the mobile station. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal allocating downlink resources and uplink resources, where the uplink resources puncture the downlink resources and are allocated for transmitting feedback control information. The UE may generate an uplink signal containing the feedback control information and one or more cancelation tones for canceling interference between a downlink signal and the uplink signal in accordance with a timing advance value. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may generate an uplink signal including the feedback control information, where the uplink signal contains uplink symbols and cyclic extensions appended to the uplink symbols, and the cyclic extensions may be based on the timing advance value. The UE may transmit, while receiving downlink data on the downlink resources, the uplink signal including the feedback control information using the set of uplink resources.

Signaling for enabling full-duplex communications in the presence of a timing advance

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for determining a constellation configuration for an amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) modulation scheme. The constellation configuration may be based on communication impairment information that is indicative of at least one communication impairment expected to impair a single-carrier waveform communication. Examples of communication impairments may include additive white gaussian noise (AWGN), phase noise, non-linear distortion, or any combination thereof, among other examples. Examples of a constellation configuration may include a quantity of rings in a constellation pattern associated with the APSK modulation scheme, a quantity of constellation points associated the rings, a ring radius associated with one or more rings, a phase offset to one or more rings, and a mapping of data bits to one or more constellation points, among other examples.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) transmitting, to a base station, signaling indicating a capability of the UE to utilize a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for channel state information (CSI) reporting. Upon receiving the signaling, the base station may transmit the DMRS and the UE may update a parameter of a CSI report in response to the received DMRS. The UE may then transmit the CSI report to the base station and the base station may utilize the CSI report for subsequent communications with the UE.

A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a signal identifying a configuration of a plurality of search spaces to monitor for a plurality of downlink control information (DCI) transmissions, wherein the plurality of search spaces is interleaved over a plurality of transmit beams of the base station, and each DCI transmission carries information associated with one or more transmit beams of the plurality of transmit beams. The UE may monitor the plurality of search spaces for the plurality of DCI transmissions associated with the UE, wherein each search space of the plurality of search spaces includes at least a portion of each DCI transmission of the plurality of DCI transmissions. The UE may decode each received DCI transmission in the plurality of DCI transmissions based at least in part on the monitoring.

Interleaved control channel for spatial division multiplexing in higher bands

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitting device may determine reconstruction information for a time-domain signal and may transmit the reconstruction information with the time-domain signal to a receiving device. The transmitting device may generate the reconstruction information based on estimates of how the receiving device may process the time-domain signal. For example, the transmitting device may apply a channel estimate to samples of the time-domain signal, and further perform clipping and quantization of the samples based on an estimated dynamic analog-to-digital converter (ADC) resolution of the receiving device. The transmitting device may generate the reconstruction information (e.g., using machine learning or other techniques) based on samples having the channel estimate applied and the clipped and quantized samples. The receiving device may process the received time-domain signal and use the reconstruction information to reconstruct the processed time-domain signal.
