Systems and methods are described for ingesting and interpretation email messages. A pattern registry is generated for emails associated with a plurality of users based on a machine learning model interpretation of the emails. Email messages are received by a server computer, which performs pattern matching for each email message with the pattern registry. For example, embeddings for the emails may be extracted and compared to embeddings stored in a pattern database. Information for the emails is extracted based on the results of the pattern matching. For example, if a matching pattern is present in the pattern registry, the information for the email may be extracted based on the matching pattern. On the other hand, if no matching pattern is present in the pattern registry, the information for the email may be extracted using a machine learning model, such as a large language model, and the pattern registry is updated.

Ingestion and interpretation of electronic mail

Methods, systems and articles of manufacture for allowing taxpayers to utilize mobile communication or communication devices such as smartphones and tablet devices to upload tax document images and process tax document images such that resulting recognized tax data is incorporated into an electronic tax return. Authentication data is generated and provided to the taxpayer to establishing a connection with an image processor, which provides recognized tax data to the on-line tax preparation application for incorporation into the electronic tax return. Authentication data may be embodied within a URL address to the image processor that is transmitted as a SMS message to the mobile communication or computing device or encoded within a QR code such that the mobile communication or computing device can be used to take an image of and decode the QR code to determine the URL address and authentication data to establish a connection with the image processor.

Tax document imaging and processing

A method including transcribing, automatically, an ongoing stream of voice data into text phrases. The method also includes receiving an indication of a selected text phrase in the text phrases. The method also includes converting the selected text phrase to a selected phrase vector. The method also includes generating a subsequent text phrase, after the selected text phrase, from the ongoing stream of voice data, and adding the subsequent text phrase to the text phrases. The method also includes converting the subsequent text phrase to a subsequent phrase vector. The method also includes generating a similarity confidence score from the selected phrase vector and the subsequent phrase vector, using a machine learning model. The method also includes highlighting, responsive to the similarity confidence score exceeding a threshold value, the subsequent text phrase in the text phrases.

Machine learning prediction of text to highlight during live automated text transcription

A method including receiving, at a platform and from a first user using a first user device, selection of a uniform resource indicator (URI) unique to a second user using a second user device. The method also includes generating, automatically by the platform in response to receiving the URI, a conference session unique to the first user and the second user. The method also includes transmitting, automatically by the platform, a message to the second user, the message indicating that the conference session is initiated. The method also includes receiving, by the platform, an indication from the second user device that the second user joins the conference session. The method also includes joining, automatically by the platform, the first user device and the second user device in the conference session.

Instant conferencing system

In a collection technique, a user (such as a taxpayer) provides information (such as income-tax information) by submitting an image of a document, such as an income-tax summary or form. In particular, the user may provide a description of the document. In response, the user is prompted for the information associated with the field in the document. Then, the user provides the image of a region in the document that includes the field. Based on the image, the information is extracted, and the field in the form is populated using the extracted information. The prompting, receiving, extracting and populating operations may be repeated for one or more additional fields in the document.

A method includes receiving a data stream comprising content generated by an application executing on a user device. The data stream is received from a guidance service that is separate from the application. The data stream is processed using a set of machine learning models to identify a first set of artifacts within the content. A first state of the application is identified based on the first set of artifacts. First transition data is identified in a logic flow of the application. The first transition data corresponds to transitioning from the first state to a second state of the application. Based on the first transition data, first guidance data is generated that describes user input for transitioning the application from the first state to the second state. The first guidance data is sent to the user device, where it is separately presented from the application by the guidance service.

A system for masking tax data during collaborative preparation of an electronic tax return, the system includes a server computer having a tax return preparation program running thereon. Methods, systems and computer program products for masking tax data during collaborative tax return preparation

A system for facilitating user interaction with a tax return preparation program includes a completion graph parser configured to identify a portion of a tax return completion graph corresponding to a tax topic. The system also includes a query object creator configured to analyze and assign a node in the portion as a query object property. The system further includes a natural language synthesis engine configured to map the property to a first natural language question. Moreover, the system includes a natural language analysis engine configured to analyze user input and to identify a characteristic that maps to the property based on the user input. In addition, the system includes a runner interface configured to modify the query object based on the characteristic, update the tax return completion graph based on the modified query object, and analyze the updated tax return completion graph to determine whether it is complete.

Methods, systems and computer program products for facilitating user interaction with tax return preparation programs

The invention relates to a method for documenting subjects using hash chains. The method includes receiving a subject data write request including one or more subject attribute values, generating a fingerprint from a current last block of a hash chain, and generating a payload from the subject data, the payload including the one or more subject attribute values and one or more keys identifying the one or more subject attribute values. The method further includes appending a block to the hash chain. The appended block includes the payload and the fingerprint.
