The present application relates to scheduling SSB measurements on SSB beams. In an example, a base station can transmit SSBs on SSB beams that form a serving cell. Depending on an SSB measurement on one of the SSB beams, a UE can schedule an additional SSB measurement on this SSB beam only or schedule SSB measurements on the different SSB beams.

Serving cell measurements in idle mode

Some embodiments include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for facilitating frequency hopping for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications in 5G wireless communication systems. When inter-slot and/or inter-repetition frequency hopping is used, user equipment (UE) may transmit a first portion of symbols in a first slot using a first transmission frequency indicated by a frequency domain resource allocation. The UE may transmit a second portion of symbols in a second slot using a second offset frequency. When intra-repetition frequency hopping is used and the symbols are segmented, the UE may disable the intra-repetition frequency hopping and transmit the segmented portion of symbols using a particular transmission frequency indicated by the frequency domain resource allocation. When intra-repetition frequency hopping is used and the symbols are non-segmented, the UE may apply frequency hopping to divide a portion of symbols for transmission within a repetition.

Frequency hopping for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) communications

Apparatuses, systems, and methods to enhance system performance (e.g., UL throughput) without impinging on (e.g., tightening) processing timeline for UL-SCH data and/or CSI reporting. A base station may request for a UE to send a CSI report(s) during PDCCH monitoring. The base station may also request the UE to send UL-SCH data. At a first transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit first PUSCH (including UL-SCH data that may be multiplexed onto the first PUSCH). Additionally, at a second (later) transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit second PUSCH (including the CSI report(s) that may be multiplexed onto the second PUSCH). The second transmit opportunity may be identified as a transmit opportunity starting at least a specified number of symbols after a first symbol of the first repetition. The specified number of symbols may be dependent upon at least one of UE uplink processing time capabilities or SCS.

UCI multiplexing enhancements

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for providing downlink control for multi-TRP transmission. A network-side device may provide a downlink control information transmission to a wireless device scheduling downlink transmission to the wireless device from multiple transmission reception points. The downlink transmission may relate to Hybrid automatic repeat request process and/or system information transmission. And the downlink control information may include information about scheduling of HARQ processes from different TRPs, and/or information about scheduling of SI transmission from different TRPs. The wireless device may receive the downlink transmissions from the plurality of transmission reception points in accordance with the downlink control information.

HARQ process handling for Multi-DCI Multi-TRP operation

A base station of a network provides a user equipment (UE) with information relating to monitoring a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) of multiple component carrier (CCs) in a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. The base station configures a first CC and a second CC of a CA combination for a user equipment (UE) and provides the UE with information for the CA combination, wherein the information comprises an indication whether the first CC and the second CC are collocated.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an antenna switching capability for the UE that relates to a capability of the UE to switch an antenna for a plurality of bands that are included in a band combination of a set of band combinations supported by the UE, wherein at least two bands of the plurality of bands correspond to a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT respectively. The UE may signal the set of band combinations and the antenna switching capability to a base station. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Carrier switching and antenna switching for long term evolution and new radio dual connectivity

A user equipment (UE) monitors a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in multiple component carriers (CC). The UE determines if the UE is operating in carrier aggregation (CA) mode having a first CC in a first frequency band and a second CC in a second frequency band. When the UE is operating in CA with a first CC in the first frequency band and the second CC in the second frequency band, the UE determines a span pattern for PDCCH symbols being received on the first and second CC and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the span pattern. A UE also determines if a first CC and a second CC of a CA combination are collocated and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the determination of whether the first and second CC are collocated.

Physical downlink control channel monitoring scaling

Aspects described herein relate to instructing, from a layer of a modem processor, a host processor to utilize an increased power consumption state for processing data from a network node. The instructing can be performed based on transmitting a signal to the network node and/or receiving signals from the network node, and at a time that allows the host processor to wake up before receiving data from the modem processor for processing.

Techniques for improving power consumption state latency in wireless communications

Systems and methods are provided for a user equipment (UE) to perform frequency offset (FO) delta tracking. For an anchor component carrier (CC), the UE wakes up to perform tracking updates on a plurality of successive DRX cycles. For the non-anchor CC, the UE determines a minimum update interval &#x394;t, and schedules wake-ups on a first subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles based on the minimum update interval &#x394;t. For the first subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles with scheduled wake-ups, the UE performs the tracking updates on the non-anchor CC and updates an FO delta between the anchor CC and the non-anchor CC. For a second subset of the plurality of successive DRX cycles without the scheduled wake-ups on the non-anchor CC, the UE applies the FO delta to correct for a frequency error.

Frequency offset delta tracking for NR connected mode discontinuous reception carrier aggregation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to communicate with a base station on different channels or messages with different processing timelines. In order to prevent a collision between processing communications associated with the different length TTIs, the UE may drop one or more communications on corresponding channels with longer processing timelines to receive and/or process the transmission on the channel with a shorter processing timeline. Additionally, the UE may transmit uplink control information (UCI) for the one or more dropped communications, where the UCI may include hybrid access request (HARQ) acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NAK) feedback, channel quality indicator (CQI), precoding matrix indicator (PMI), rank indicator (RI), etc. If a downlink transmission is dropped, the UE may transmit a NAK message. Alternatively, if an uplink transmission is dropped, the UE may transmit at least a portion of the UCI.

Uplink control information reporting

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station on multiple carriers (i.e., carrier aggregation). In some cases, the UE may be scheduled to transmit uplink signals on the different component carriers during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have different durations. In such cases, it may be appropriate for the UE to determine a maximum transmit power limit relating to the amount of power used for the uplink transmissions on the multiple carriers. As described herein, the UE may identify one of the component carriers as a reference component carrier, and the UE may determine the maximum transmit power limit for a duration of a TTI associated with the reference component carrier. The UE may then transmit on the multiple carriers in compliance with the maximum transmit power limit.

Power limit determination for carrier aggregation with shortened transmission time intervals

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include a user equipment (UE) determining whether it is configured to support a modulation scheme such as, a quadrature-amplitude-modulation (QAM). The UE may identify a plurality of transport block size (TBS) values based on whether the UE is configured with the modulation scheme, and identify a scaled TBS value that is based on a length of a transmission time interval (TTI). The UE may map the scaled TBS value to a TBS value of a plurality of TBS values (e.g., a plurality of TBS value options). As such, the UE may communicate, with a base station during the TTI, data on a transport block having a size corresponding to the mapped TBS value.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a capability of the UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and transmit information identifying the capability, wherein the information identifying the capability identifies a bandwidth or number of carriers that is supported for carriers of a first numerology and one or more scaling values associated with one or more numerologies other than the first numerology. A base station may receive information identifying a capability of a UE relating to a carrier configuration of the UE, wherein the carrier configuration relates to carriers of at least two different numerologies; and determine a configuration for communication with the UE based at least in part on the information identifying the capability. Carrier capability signaling with regard to multiple carrier numerologies

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit control information to a UE in a shortened physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH). The sPDCCH may be included in shortened resource element groups (sREGs) of shortened channel control elements (sCCEs), which may be indexed in resource block (RB) sets by using localized or distributed mapping schemes. Updated sREG mapping schemes may result in a uniform distribution of sREGs within available symbols (and, as a result, a uniform distribution of unused resource blocks within the available symbols) and may ensure that sREGs within an sCCE are indexed into only one symbol.
