A method for extracting a sought signal from a noisy signal. The method includes sampling a plurality of samples in a series of cycles of the noisy signal wherein each sample having an n-bit sampled value (n≥1), giving rise to a plurality of samples each associated with a respective cycle of the series, wherein each sample is sampled at time T relative to the origin of the respective cycle. The method further includes associating data indicative of the plurality of n-bit samples to N bins according to the corresponding sampled values, wherein N is a function of n, and calculating data indicative of a number of samples for each bin, giving rise to data indicative N-bins histogram or normalized N-bins histogram. The method further includes determining the signal value based on the data indicative of the N-bins histogram or normalized N-bins histogram.

System and a method for extracting low-level signals from hi-level noisy signals

There are provided a security inspection system comprising ultra-wideband transmitters () and receivers () and a method of security inspection. The method comprises scanning a walk-through inspection space () along with an inspected person passing there through to yield collected data informative of scattered signals in association with respective channels, wherein the ultra-wideband transmitters and receivers are arranged at both sides of the inspection space. There are provided an ultra-wideband radar imaging system comprising an antenna with at least one receiver and a plurality of transmitters operating in multi-static mode, method of operating thereof and volume visualization unit to be used in conjunction with the multi-static ultra-wideband radar imaging system. There are provided a through-the-obstacle radar system and method of operating thereof comprising recording signals and/or derivatives thereof collected during a certain substantial monitoring period, and using the recorded information for generating patterns informative of a monitoring scene. There are further provided a method of motion detection based on through-the-obstacle radar and the system thereof. The method comprises collecting signals and/or derivatives thereof acquired by the radar system during a certain substantial monitoring period and accommodating respective records, said records comprising information characterizing the signals and/or derivatives thereof and information indicative, at least, of the time the signals were obtained; processing the accommodated records and generating at least one histogram characterizing a normative motion level at different time intervals; comparing an actual motion level with the level in the normative histogram corresponding to the same time intervals; and recording the motion as detected if its actual level fits a certain relationship with the corresponding level in the normative histogram.

System and method for volume visualization in ultra-wideband radar

A through-wall imaging device having antenna elements for transmitting and receiving signals adapted to pass through a wall for imaging objects therebehind, having a base with a carrier portion and a plurality of spaced-apart extensions connected thereto. At least a portion of the antenna elements are mounted on the extensions. The area between adjacent extensions is free of any material of the base at least when the extensions are in an operative state.

A method for determining changes in internal delays of RF units, the RF units including a plurality of receivers and transmitters. The method includes providing initial direct signals' time of arrivals of the RF units initial internal delays of the RF units. Following this, each transmitter transmitting a direct signal, and the real-time direct signal's time of arrivals of the RF units, are measured. Then, changes in internal delays of the RF units are calculated based on the real-time direct signals' time of arrivals and initial direct signals' time of arrivals. And finally, real-time internal delays of the RF units are calculated based on the changes in internal delays and the initial internal delays of the RF units.
