In an integrated wireless communication network that includes terrestrial and non-terrestrial network devices, signaling that is indicative of information for application by a User Equipment (UE) in selection between multiple cooperation nodes to provide the UE with access to a non-terrestrial network device in the integrated wireless communication network is communicated. Cooperation may also or instead be applied in conjunction with a group handover procedure. For example, signaling that is indicative of information for application in making a handover determination by a cooperation node may be communicated. The handover determination may involve determining whether a first cooperation node is to perform a handover procedure to establish a connection to a second network device while a second cooperation node maintains its connection to a first network device; or the second cooperation node is to perform the handover procedure while the first cooperation node maintains its connection to the first network device.

Cooperation-enabled access in integrated wireless communication networks

Mobility management in multi-tier wireless communication networks involves communicating signaling that includes tier activation information for controlling activation of a UE for operation with a network device of a first tier and a network device of a second tier. The multi-tier wireless communication network includes network devices distributed among multiple tiers, and the multiple tiers include a terrestrial tier and a non-terrestrial tier.

Mobility management in multi-tier wireless communication networks

A first user equipment (UE) is configured to receive from a base station a signaling comprising indication of one or more time-frequency resources and an indicator indicating a time gap, and transmit a transport block (TB) to a second UE using the one or more time-frequency resources. For each of the time-frequency resources, the first UE monitors a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback from the second UE, using a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resource; and transmits to the base station a HARQ feedback report signal based on the HARQ feedback or absence thereof, in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), using a single PUCCH resource determined based on the time gap from a last one of the PSFCH resources.

Devices and methods of signaling for resource selection and reservation in sidelink transmission

Embodiments of the present invention provide a reference signal notification method, including: sending, by a network device, a reference signal notification message, where the reference signal notification message includes time resource information of a reference signal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the reference signal notification message in the present invention is used to notify UE of a reference signal configuration, especially information about a CSI-RS, so that the network device can flexibly provide a reference signal, especially a CSI-RS, and the UE can more effectively receive the reference signal, especially the CSI-RS.

Reference signal notification method and apparatus

Embodiments of this disclosure improve the reliability of blind decoding when beamforming is used by having a user equipment (UE) receive a single downlink control information (DCI) message with different transmission and/or reception parameters. In some embodiments, a UE receives more than one set of configuration parameters, where any two sets of configuration parameters out of the more than one set of configuration parameters have at least one different parameter. A method for uplink transmission by a UE includes obtaining information regarding a plurality of power control sets each having a plurality of power control parameters, wherein a value of at least one parameter in a first power control set is different from a value of the at least one parameter in a second power control set; obtaining information associating at least one of the power control sets with at least one operational property of the UE; and when at least one of the operational properties is in effect on the UE, transmitting a PUSCH using the parameters of the power control set associated with the at least one operational property in effect.

A method for power control for uplink transmission is provided. In an embodiment, a method in a user equipment (UE) for reference signal (RS) relationship specific uplink (UL) transmission power control includes transmitting, by the UE, a first UL signal according to a first power control set including at least one of a first target power, a second target power, a DL reference signal (RS) for pathloss estimation, a pathloss compensation factor, and a transmit power command (TPC). The first power control set is determined according to a first RS relationship between one first RS and a first UL signal.

Methods and systems of power control for uplink transmission

Embodiments of the present application pertain to control information for scheduling a transmission resource for downlink and uplink communications between one or more TRP and one or more UE. Method and devices for multiple transmit receive point cooperation for reliable communication

An integrated terrestrial/non-terrestrial network may allow for enhanced network coverage. However, there are control and management challenges associated with an integrated terrestrial/non-terrestrial network because the network and user equipments (UEs) are no longer confined to only using conventional cellular communication via terrestrial transmit-and-receive points (T-TRPs). One challenge is how to perform beam management. In some embodiments, methods and systems are disclosed in which an indication of angular direction (e.g. beam direction) is provided by the T-TRP. The indication of angular direction may be used by a UE for communicating with a non-terrestrial TRP (NT-TRP), e.g. using beamforming. However, the methods are not limited to integrated terrestrial/non-terrestrial networks or the involvement of NT-TRPs, but apply more generally to indicating angular direction for directional communication.

Systems and methods for angular direction indication in wireless communication

Provisioning and communicating physical signals and channels in NR networks having a first subset of transmit and receive points that use a first cell ID and a second subset of transmit and receive points that use a second cell ID. Method and apparatus for provisioning physical signals and channels in a wireless network

Carrier aggregation and dual connectivity leverage multiple component carriers to increase the effective bandwidth available to a given UE. Embodiments of this disclosure extend the concept of carrier aggregation and dual connectivity by using a physical component carrier and one or more virtual component carriers from one physical component carrier group and/or one virtual component carrier group, which have the same carrier frequency and carrier bandwidth as the physical component carrier, to transmit data streams to a user equipment. Data streams communicated over the physical component carrier and the virtual component carrier(s) may be orthogonal in the time domain or code domain. Alternatively, data streams communicated over the physical component carrier and the virtual component carrier(s) may be non-orthogonal, in which case the UE may need to decode the respective data streams using non-orthogonal signal processing techniques.

Virtual carrier and virtual connection aggregation

A base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) scheduling communications between the base station and a UE. The DCI is in a fallback DCI format. Based on whether or not the DCI is in a UE specific search space with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled by a UE ID of the UE, data transmitted by the base station or by the UE according to the DCI may be scrambled by a sequence that is initialized with a configurable parameter, or initialized with a cell ID.
