A method for influencing the device-typical sound emission of a cleaning device, wherein the cleaning device has a device housing and a cleaning mechanism for carrying out a cleaning activity on a surface to be cleaned, wherein the cleaning device emits device-typical sound while carrying out the cleaning activity, and wherein the device-typical sound is detected and analyzed with respect to at least one sound frequency contained therein. In order to adapt the soundscape of the cleaning device in such a way that a user can ascertain a proper functionality of the cleaning device, a displaceable section assigned to a flow channel of the cleaning device is displaced relative to the flow channel and/or the device housing in dependence on the analysis result until a characteristic sound frequency for the cleaning activity emitted by the cleaning mechanism has a defined amplitude.

Method for influencing the device-typical sound emission of a cleaning device

A household appliance has a device housing, a blower arranged in the device housing, an outlet opening formed in the flow direction behind the blower in the device housing, and a flow channel. Soundwaves are generated by the blower, and produce resonances characterized by standing waves, which form between opposing inner walls of the flow channel. A sound reducing wall is positioned in the flow channel, the wall plane of which is oriented parallel to a primary flow direction of the air flow guided in the flow channel. The sound reducing wall is positioned in the flow channel so that a maximum for a fast amplitude of a sound particle velocity of the air flow guided in the flow channel lies in the wall plane of the sound reducing wall. The soundwaves form while interspersing the sound reducing wall between the opposing inner walls of the flow channel.

An electric motor-operated food processor has a base unit having an electric motor and a preparation vessel that can be arranged on the base unit. A heater and agitator are allocated to the preparation vessel. The food processor can have a distillation apparatus that can be connected with the preparation vessel. The distillation apparatus has a steam receptacle, a condenser and a liquid dispenser. The preparation vessel and steam receptacle are connected in terms of flow when the preparation vessel and distillation apparatus are in a connected state.
