Methods and apparatus for a rotatable light fixture secured to a junction box via a mounting base. The electrical and/or mechanical connection between the light fixture housing and the mounting base may maintain the electrical coupling during rotation. The light fixture housing may be rotationally secured in a variety of rotational orientations relative to the mounting base.

Security light

The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing a lighting system that includes backup light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are incorporated into a primary array of LEDs of the lighting system. The backup LEDs can be illuminated when a utility power source for the lighting system becomes unavailable. The backup LEDs can operate from a backup power supply, which can be charged from the utility power source, when the utility power source is available. Furthermore, charging of the backup power supply can be temperature dependent, in order that the backup power supply and/or the charging circuit can be protected from damage caused by operating such components out of an operating specification.

Battery backup for lighting system

A configurable security light is described. The configurable security light may include a first and a second separable lamp head, each of which may include both an upper illumination segment and a lower illumination segment. The lower illumination segment may be affixed to the upper illumination segment through a multi-axis hinge so that the lower illumination segment may be redirected to a secondary light output direction as compared to a primary light output direction of the upper illumination segment.

Configurable security light

Methods and apparatus for a decorative lantern having a portable lantern and cradle is set forth. Both the portable lantern and the cradle may include a light source. The mounted cradle includes a power source capable of recharging and/or powering the portable lantern when docked. The light source of the cradle may be illuminable when the portable lantern is removed from the cradle.

Portable decorative lantern and related methods

An outdoor light with diffusing and translucent light panels movably attached to a mounting base electronically coupled to a lighting controller. Each movable panel is positioned adjacent to a light source that is electronically connected to the lighting controller. Each panel is also attached to a heat sink which is adjacent to and in thermal engagement with the light source. In one embodiment, the heat sink is centered on the light panel. The heat sink may be hollowed or wrapped around the light panel for multidirectional light distribution. In other embodiments, the outdoor light includes various sensors and remote-control features electronically coupled to the lighting controller.

An outdoor security light is provided which incorporates features of decorative luminaire illumination while also integrating security light functionality. Such features may include not only standard illumination, but also security light functionality such an ambient sensors, motion detection, while also providing an integrated luminaire having wall wash capabilities.

A security light having a first and a second light panel is set forth. The light panels includes a plurality of light scattering structures which are V-shaped grooves extending from the top surface to the bottom surface along the height of each of the light panels. The light scattering structures may modify in density as the distance from the light source increases in order to improve the light output performance of the panes.
