In some examples, an apparatus for scheduling service assets for an event is provided. A schedule of events and service assets is stored. Each event in the schedule of events is associated with one of the plurality of service assets. A first service asset is unable to attend an event. A substitution request from a first computing device associated with the first service asset is received. A user interface is generated for display on the first computing device. The user interface includes a plurality of selectable items corresponding to the plurality of service assets, a selectable request-substitute interface element, and a selectable event sign-in interface element. In response to receiving a selection of a send-request interface element, a substitute request notification to be displayed on a second computing device is transmitted. In some examples, the schedule of events is updated to reflect a second service asset associated with the event.

Systems and methods for providing side-channel communications to supplement a shared communication channel are provided. Participant devices within a side-channel communication group are configured to receive a first audio stream associated with the shared communication channel and a second audio stream associated with the side-channel communication group. A host platform or a participant device may mix the first and second audio streams to produce a composite output audio stream that enables users to listen to both audio shared to shared communication channel and audio generated by other members of the side-channel communication group.

Systems and methods for facilitating side-channel communications during shared communication session

Methods and systems for inventory yield management

Embodiments that generate multiple haptic effects receive a first haptic effect signal having a first priority and corresponding to a first haptic effect, and receive a second haptic effect signal having a second priority and corresponding to a second haptic effect. One illustrative system disclosed herein includes a sensor configured to detect a user input associated with a projected user interface and transmit a sensor signal associated with the user interaction, and a processor in communication with the sensor, the processor configured to: receive the sensor signal, determine a remote haptic effect based at least in part on the user input, generate a haptic signal based at least in part on the remote haptic effect, and transmit the haptic signal. The illustrative system further includes a haptic output device in communication with the processor, the haptic output device configured to receive the haptic signal and output the remote haptic effect.

Systems and methods for a haptically-enabled projected user interface

One illustrative system disclosed herein includes a sensor configured to detect a user interaction with a touch surface and transmit a sensor signal including data associated with a pressure of the user interaction. The illustrative system also includes a processor in communication with the sensor, the processor configured to: receive the sensor signal; determine, based on the sensor signal, a pressure level; determine a user interface level based at least in part on the pressure level; perform a function associated with the user interface level and the user interaction; determine a haptic effect based at least in part on the user interface level and the user interaction; generate a haptic signal based at least in part on the haptic effect; and transmit the haptic signal. The illustrative system further includes a haptic output device in configured to receive the haptic signal and output the haptic effect.

Systems and methods for pressure-based haptic effects

Systems and methods for user generated content authoring are disclosed. One illustrative method disclosure herein includes: receiving a video signal; displaying a user interface associated with haptic authoring; detecting a gesture associated with a haptic effect; determining a haptic effect based in part on the gesture; associating the haptic effect with a location in the video signal; and storing the video signal and the associated haptic effect.

A system is provided that automatically converts an input into one or more haptic effects in near real-time. The system senses the input in near real-time. The computing apparatus comprises a processor and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the apparatus to, at a portable electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, detect a finger gesture on the touch-sensitive display while displaying a user interface screen, the finger gesture indicative of a user selection of a first service asset in the pool of selectable service assets, and in response to detecting the finger gesture on the touch sensitive display, send a first substitute request notification to a device associated with the first service asset, and in response to receiving a positive response to the substitute request notification, substitute the first service asset for an existing service asset associated with the event, and notifying the pool of selectable service assets and the existing service asset of the substitution.

A system determines a mood of an associated user. Based on the determined mood, an action to be performed by the system is determined. The system then initiates the determined action by transmitting an object that corresponds to the determined mood to another system.

Generating actions based on a user's mood

A system, method, and device for providing haptic feedback is presented. The system comprises a first device, a second device, and a third device. The first device has a first haptic output device, a first processor, and a first wireless communication unit. The second device has a second haptic output device, a second processor, and a second wireless communication unit. The third device has a third processor and a third wireless communication unit configured to transfer digital content between the third device and at least the first device. At least one processor of the first processor, second processor, and third processor is configured, when digital content is transferred or is being transferred between the third device and the first device, to cause the first haptic output device to output a first haptic feedback and to cause the second haptic output device to output a second haptic feedback.
