Borescope plugs are described. The borescope plugs include a borescope plug base having a first side configured to support a shank and a second side having a centroid defined as the center of the borescope plug base, a first mounting aperture formed in the second side, and a second mounting aperture formed in the second side. The first and second mounting apertures are configured to each receive a fastener to mount the borescope plug base to a case, and an offset line drawn through the center of the first mounting aperture and through the center of the second mounting aperture does not pass through the centroid or does not include a point defined by the centroid.

A cover plate for a rotor assembly is disclosed. In various embodiments, the cover plate includes an annular member having a radially inner portion and a radially outer portion with respect to a longitudinal axis, the radially inner portion including an aft face and an angled forward face, the angled forward face defining a forward face angle with respect to a cylindrical plane that is coaxial with the longitudinal axis, the face angle having a value that is greater than or equal to fifty degrees; a first tab and a second tab disposed proximate the radially inner portion of the annular member; and a slot disposed between the first tab and the second tab.

A borescope plug for a gas turbine engine includes a base attachable to a case and defining a base cavity, a shank having a base engagement element at a first end of the shank, and a plug member located at a second end of the shank, the plug member configured to plug a borescope aperture in a borescope vane cluster. The base engagement element fits within the base cavity such that the base moveably retains the base engagement element and wherein the base engagement element can move within the base cavity.

A tuned mass damper for reducing vibration on a component includes a shaft connector member configured to be coupled to the component and a cable termination member. The tuned mass damper also includes at least one cable coupled to the shaft connector member and to the cable termination member such that vibration of the component is transferred to the at least one cable via the shaft connector member and increased or decreased by the at least one cable.

The pattern has a pattern material and a casting core combination. The pattern material has an airfoil. The casting core combination is at least partially embedded in the pattern material. The casting core combination comprises a metallic casting core and at least one additional casting core. The metallic casting core has opposite first and second faces. The pattern has a pattern material and a casting core combination. The pattern material has an airfoil. The casting core combination is at least partially embedded in the pattern material. The casting core combination comprises a plurality of metallic casting cores. Each metallic casting core has opposite first and second faces and a respective portion along the trailing edge of the airfoil. At least two of the metallic cores have sections offset between the pressure side and the suction side.

A turbine blade damper-seal assembly includes a seal nested within a damper such that both the seal and damper are disposed to provide sealing between adjacent blade platforms. The seal traverses the seal slot in the damper and seals the gap between adjacent blade platforms for the full axial length of the neck cavity between adjacent blades. The damper is located in an aft most position and includes features to facilitate vibration-dampening performance. The damper also includes features that cause entrapment between blades and therefore avoids the conventionally required protrusions on the blade to retain it in the assembled position.
