Vehicle engine

An exhaust system device () for a vehicle () comprises an exhaust purification device () and a first exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler (). The exhaust purification device () is disposed with a central axis of a downstream-side end inclined downwardly toward a rear side of the vehicle (). The EGR cooler () is provided so as to introduce exhaust from a downstream side of the exhaust purification device (), is adjacent to the exhaust purification device () and fixed to the exhaust purification device (), and is disposed such that a central axis of the EGR cooler () is inclined downwardly toward the rear side of the vehicle.

Exhaust system device for vehicle

Disclosed is a controller for a turbocharged engine. The engine includes a supercharger configured to supercharge intake air using an exhaust gas from the engine, and including movable flaps arranged so that a boost pressure generated in an intake passage is adjustable. If a rotational speed of a turbine and compressor that constitute the supercharger has reached a first threshold lower than an endurance limit, an amount of fuel injected to the engine is reduced to a predetermined amount. If the rotational speed has reached a second threshold lower than the first threshold, the amount of fuel injected is reduced in accordance with an excess of the rotational speed over the second threshold.

Control device for engine equipped with turbo-supercharger

An abnormality detector of a turbocharged engine includes: a compressor including a plurality of blades that are detected portions; and a detecting portion configured to electrically detect the plurality of blades. Each time the blades are detected a predetermined number of times, one pulse having a pulse width corresponding to a measurement time required to detect the blades is output, and a turbo revolution is calculated from the pulse width of the output pulse. When it is judged that a rotation change of the rotating body which change is calculated based on a pulse width of a first pulse and a pulse width of a second pulse output after the first pulse exceeds a predetermined rate in a region where the rotating body exceeds a predetermined revolution, it is determined that an abnormality of the blade or an electromagnetic noise abnormality of the detecting portion occurs.

Abnormality detector of turbo-charged engine

An exhaust device for an engine includes an engine main body having a cylinder head provided with a manifold exhaust passage formed with a gathering exhaust port, a turbo supercharger, a catalyst device provided adjacent to the turbo supercharger, and a processing device disposed on the same side as the cylinder head surface of the engine main body. The processing device includes an exhaust gas processing device and an EGR device. The turbo supercharger guides exhaust gas discharged from the gathering exhaust port upward. The catalyst device includes a carrier, and a container which allows the exhaust gas to pass through a lower region of the carrier. The EGR device and the exhaust gas processing device are at least disposed below the catalyst device.
