Methods and arrangements for processing face-to-face mobile phone transactions. An agreed-upon price for a product is accepted from a buyer mobile phone and a seller mobile phone. Distinct random numbers are assigned to each of the buyer and seller mobile phones. The random number assigned to the seller mobile phone is received from the buyer mobile phone, and the random number assigned to the buyer mobile phone is received from the seller mobile phone. A match is ascertained between the buyer and seller mobile phones based on receipt from the buyer mobile phone the random number assigned to the seller mobile phone and receipt from the seller mobile phone the random number assigned to the buyer mobile phone.

Systems and methods for face-to-face mobile phone mercantile transactions

A method and system for tracking an IT infrastructure is provided. The method includes modeling an IT infrastructure as a collection of hardware components, software components, and networking components. An observer agent is deployed on each of the components. The observer agent performs a measurement process with respect to each of the components and a mapping process is performed with respect to the measurement process. An aggregation module is deployed and an aggregation process is performed with respect to results of the mapping process. In response, a two dimensional moving graph indicating results of the aggregation process is generated and displayed.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a system, method and computer program product for authenticating a mobile application. According to one embodiment the method comprises registering, by a computer processor of a computer system, the mobile application, wherein the registration includes receiving and storing information associated with the mobile application, receiving, by the computer processor, one or more application details associated with the mobile application from a computing device, comparing, by the computer processor, the received one or more application details associated with the mobile application with the stored information associated with the mobile application, generating, by the computer processor, a notification based on the comparison to indicate authenticity of the mobile application and sending the notification to the computing device.

Authentication of mobile applications

Disclosed is a program for validating a web cache independent of an origin server. A computer in between a client computer and the origin server computer receives a request for a resource and an entity tag (ETag) corresponding to the request. The computer forwards the request to the origin server and subsequently receives the resource. The computer generates an ETag for the received resource and compares the generated ETag to the ETag corresponding to the request. If the ETags match, the computer sends an indication toward the client computer that the resource has not been modified.

Disclosed is a program for pre-fetching resources. A computer, communicatively coupled to a plurality of client computers and a server computer, identifies a resource, through an examination of one or more HTTP server logs, that is cached on at least one of the plurality of client computers and has been validated by the server computer. The computer determines to pre-fetch the resource based on one or more predefined rules, at least one of the predefined rules including a threshold number of responses validating the resource that must be received by the computer. The computer pre-fetches and caches the resource from the server computer. The computer receives a request for the resource from a client computer that does not have the resource cached. The computer validates resource cached locally and sends the resource to the client computer from the local cache on the computer.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method and technique for converged dialog in hybrid mobile applications is disclosed. The method includes: responsive to receiving a short message service (SMS) request from an SMS device, determining a data policy corresponding to the request; initiating an SMS communication dialog with the SMS device to collect data corresponding to the data policy; determining whether the data policy indicates a need for a dialog with a hybrid device; and responsive to determining that the data policy indicates a need for a dialog with a hybrid device, initiating a non-SMS communication dialog with a hybrid device corresponding to the collected data.
