A fuel injection valve and method for adjusting the static fuel quantity output ejected during the steady opening state of the fuel injection valve. In the method according to the invention, the static fuel quantity is adjusted directly in the otherwise completely installed fuel injection valve, so that a variation on the static fuel quantity of the various fuel injection valves is minimized. To this end, a throttle device, serving to meter the fuel and whose free flow cross section is variable, is provided upstream of the valve seat. The method according to the invention is suitable for fuel injection valves of various kinds.

An injection valve, which overcomes residual magnetic forces and cohesive forces that act between the armature and the core to make the armature stick to the core, impeding the closing motion of the valve needle. The injection valve has a spring adjusting sleeve and a stroke adjusting sleeve for the separate adjustment of the spring force of a restoring spring and of the stroke of the valve needle: these sleeves are disposed in a through bore of a valve end cap. The stroke of the valve needle is limited by a downstream end face of the stroke adjusting sleeve, which when the injection valve is fully open rests on an upstream face end of a fastening segment of the valve needle. A remanent air gap is left between the armature and the core. The novel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

Electromagnetically actuatable injection valve

A novel valve, including a restoring spring which is pressed into a spring chamber opening and is held in the spring chamber opening by a radially oriented tension on one end of the spring; the depth to which the restoring spring is pressed determines the magnitude of the spring force acting upon the valve closing part. By dispensing with an adjusting sheath, not only is the danger of chip formation in the press-fitting operation lessened, but the production cost of the valve is reduced substantially as well. The valve is used as a fuel injection valve for fuel injection systems.

A hydraulic dual-circuit brake system with anti-skid braking (ABS) and traction control (ASR) for motor vehicles having control valve assemblies, each control valve assigned to one wheel brake cylinder of a vehicle wheel for feeding a wheel-slip-dependent brake pressure, and includes one return pump with two separate pump elements for each brake circuit. For supplying brake pressure in traction control, a precharge pump and a valve unit are provided. In the traction control mode the precharge pump feeds brake fluid from a brake fluid tank into the pump element associated with the brake circuit of the driven wheels while the valve unit disconnects the pump element from the master brake cylinder and connects it to the brake fluid tank via a pressure limiting valve. A check valve prevents brake fluid from flowing into the ABS brake circuit during this process via the pressure limiting valve. The air bubbles created upon expansion of the brake fluid at the pressure limiting valve reach the brake fluid tank along with any excess brake fluid and thus are kept away from the master brake cylinder.

A slip control system for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle, which comprises a pressure generator having a plunger piston, which plunges into a cylinder filled with brake fluid and is connected to a rack. For the forward drive of the plunger piston, an electric drive motor is provided, which via a gear drive drives a pinion meshing with the rack. For the return drive of the plunger piston, a spiral spring is used that engages on one end with pinion shaft and on the other is supported on the pressure generator housing. The use of the spiral spring makes a short axial structural length of the pressure generator attainable. A grip roller free-wheel clutch is also provided in the drive train between the motor and the rack. The grip roller free-wheel clutch effects an uncoupling of the gear drive and the drive motor when the rack, at the end of the return stroke, strikes a stop of the pressure generator housing. This prevents damage to the gear drive and motor.

Electric-motor-drivable pressure generator for a hydraulic brake system

A brake system including a traction control apparatus having at least one pressure generator 35, which has a cylinder 60 for receiving and expelling brake fluid by means of a piston 60. The cylinder 60 is connected, with a valve 72 actuatable as a function of the motion of the piston 50, to a pressure course between the master brake cylinder and a wheel brake cylinder. To attain a short structural length, on the one hand, and a long stroke of the pressure generator on the other, the piston is embodied as a rod piston; it is connected to a coaxially extending hollow cylinder 40 that envelops the piston 50 in the cylinder 60; the hollow cylinder 40 is longitudinally guided and is provided with a racklike set of teeth 41 on its outside for the engagement of a motor drive mechanism 43 for driving the piston relative to the cylinder.

Pressure generator for a hydraulic brake system for a vehicle

An apparatus for motor vehicles having traction control and/or anti-lock brakes. In a known apparatus, a distinction can be made between an unregulated and a regulated operating stage. In the regulated operating state, the position of a control device is determined by means of a control motor. In the unregulated operating state, a position of an operating element is transmitted to a control device with the aid of the transmission device. When the operating element is adjusted and the control device is restored by a restoring spring, however, a rotor of a control motor is adjusted along with them. This requires great actuation forces and a strong restoring spring. In this system, a third rotary element is provided. In the unregulated operating state, the third rotary element returns to a position of repose. In that case there is then no longer any operative connection between the transmission device and the control motor. The control device can thus be adjusted by the operating element with relative slight actuating forces. Nor is a relatively strong restoring spring necessary. Even if an electronic control system should fail, the control device can be adjusted without problems via the operating element. The apparatus is particularly suitable for motor vehicles having traction control and/or anti-lock brakes.

Apparatus having a control motor for intervention into a transmission

A known valve controllable by means of an electromagnet includes at least one spring installed with prestressing, the prestressing of which must be within a relatively narrow tolerance range, if the valve is to function properly. Since then, when the valve has been assembled, the spring, which is subject to manufacturing tolerances, and other components subject to manufacturing tolerances, have been replaced with other components of different dimensions until a suitable prestressing was arrived at. The invention seeks to avoid this replacement work. The problem is solved by disposing an element that is displaceably installed so as to overcome frictional forces, and one end of a spring is supported on this element. One or more such elements are advantageously usable in multi-position magnetic valves, which for instance belong to vehicle brake systems and in particular to their anti-skid systems.

Electrically controllable 3-way valve

A brake system having anti-skid control for motor vehicles has a brake booster having a brake valve and an emergency brake piston, and a master brake cylinder, combined in one housing with the brake booster having a master brake piston and two separate brake chambers, which supply brake fluid to one dynamic brake circuit and one static brake circuit (II and I), respectively. If the pressure fails, the master brake piston is mechanically actuated via the emergency brake piston. To attain a simple structure with a feedback-free brake pedal during anti-skid control, the emergency brake piston and the master brake piston are accommodated in a continuous housing bore such that the emergency brake piston forms the second defining wall for the first brake chamber, and the master brake piston rests with force on the emergency brake piston. A device for restoring the emergency brake piston upon the onset of the anti-skid control assure free mobility of the master brake piston. The brake pressure modulations are effected by a switching valve connected to the first brake chamber.

The proposed vehicle brake system has wheel brakes, a master brake cylinder, an auxiliary pressure source, and a brake booster supplied from it for actuating the master brake cylinder, as well as an apparatus capable of preventing the danger of skidding and limiting drive slip at driven wheels. To prevent the danger of skidding, valves disposed between the master brake cylinder and the wheel brakes are provided by means of which the wheel brakes can be disconnected from the master brake cylinder and connected to a pressure fluid supply container to reduce the brake pressure. For replacing the quantities of pressure fluid diverted into this pressure fluid supply container, the valves are connected to the brake booster. To enable limiting drive slip at driven wheels at little expense for additional valves, valves embodied as 2/2-way valves are connected between the wheel brakes of driven wheels and their associated valves also communicate with the auxiliary pressure source. In drive slip limitation, the valves are directed into a blocking position, so that brake pressure required for drive slip limitation cannot escape into the master brake cylinder.

An apparatus for actuating the throttle valve of an internal combustion engine, in particular a drive slip control (ASR) and engine drag moment control (MSR), with a disconnect point disposed in the course of the gas pedal transmission linkage overcome by spring forces acting on both sides of it. In the normal situation the throttle valve position corresponds to the driving pedal position, while in attaining ASR functions the disconnect point is opened, by the action of an electromagnetic or electric-motor element, and the position of the throttle valve is adjusted independently, regardless of the intention of the operator, in order to reduce the drive slip.

The proposed vehicle brake system has a hydraulic brake booster, a master brake cylinder, wheel brakes and a pressure source for operating the brake booster. The vehicle brake system also has an anti-skid device, which comprises an auxiliary cylinder with an auxiliary piston and valve assemblies. In the anti-skid situation, the auxiliary piston is acted upon, controlled by one of the valve assemblies, and it acts counter to the brake booster and thereby lowers the pressure in the master brake cylinder. By stopping the valve assembly that is associated with a wheel threatening to skid, the brake pressure in the associated wheel brake drops. Valve assemblies are also further developed such that by including the valve assembly, drive slip at driven wheels can be limited by means of pressure from the pressure source.
