A leakage current protection system includes a current transformer disposed about current-carrying conductors that extend from first ends to second ends. The first ends are coupled to load receptacles. The current transformer detects an aggregate differential current between the conductors. Each of a plurality of circuit breakers is coupled to the second ends of the conductors that are coupled to a corresponding one of the load receptacles. Each circuit breaker is coupled to a source of electrical power. A differential current monitor coupled to the current transformer generates a signal when the aggregate differential current exceeds a threshold current. Each of a plurality of shunt-trips coupled to the differential current monitor receives the signal. Each of the shunt-trips opens a corresponding one of the circuit breakers when the signal is received so that all of the circuit breakers are opened simultaneously.

Leakage current protection system for marinas

A receptacle breakaway system for power pedestals includes an electric power receptacle having a body and mounting ears with an axis passing through the body and mounting ears. A mounting plate having a hole passing there through is configured for passage of the receptacle's body wherein the mounting ears engage a face of the mounting plate. A first retainer is rigidly coupled to the mounting plate at a first position offset from the receptacle's axis. The first retainer extends at least partially over a first of the mounting ears. A second retainer is rigidly coupled to the mounting plate at a second position offset from the receptacle's axis. The second retainer extends at least partially over a second of the mounting ears. The receptacle's axis passes between the first position and second position.

Receptacle breakaway system for power pedestals

A power housing assembly includes a housing having a side thereof that is at least partially open. A faceplate, coupled to the open side at a first hinge position, can articulate about the first hinge position between a first position and a second position. The faceplate includes a substantially L-shaped portion that resides (i) in the housing when the faceplate is in its first position, and (ii) outside of the housing when the faceplate is in its second position.

Systems and other embodiments associated with a universal faceplate assembly are described. According to one embodiment, a faceplate includes a substantially planar plate base configured to mount on a wiring enclosure. At least one opening in the plate base is configured receive a receptacle. The opening is configured to receive receptacles of a first receptacle type or a second receptacle type. The faceplate also includes a faceplate notch in a front surface of the plate base configured to receive a receptacle tab. The receptacle tab is disposed on receptacles of the first receptacle type or the second receptacle type. The receptacle tab is configured to allow a fastener to pass through the faceplate notch and the receptacle tab to attach the receptacle to the faceplate.

Universal receptacle faceplate assembly

Systems and other embodiments associated with a light assembly are described. According to one embodiment, a system includes a substrate enclosed in a housing, where the housing prevents intrusion of environmental contaminants. At least one light emitting diode (LED) is mounted to the substrate. The substrate may be a printed circuit board. The LED is configured to receive direct current (DC) power. The system further includes a driver mounted to the substrate. The driver controls the LED. The driver is configured to receive analog current (AC) power. The driver converts the AC power to DC power.

Pedestal light assembly

A power pedestal provides power to a vehicle and a structure disposed separate from the vehicle. The power pedestal includes a housing having an exterior, a first end fixed to a platform, and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. A meter socket assembly is housed by the housing. At least one first branch circuit breaker and a second main circuit breaker are electrically connected to the meter socket assembly within the housing. At least one of the at least one first branch circuit breaker is electrically connected to the vehicle by a corresponding one of a number of first electrical conductors. The second main circuit breaker is electrically connected to the structure by a second electrical conductor. A meter, which is electrically connected to the meter socket assembly, measures electric energy consumed by the vehicle and the structure.

Power pedestal and system employing same

The present invention provides methods of manufacturing a bollard light assembly that provides a choice of light output by being size-adaptable depending on the choice of light output. The methods comprise, in pertinent part, selecting an elongated light and interposing a number of lens rings and light deflectors which correspond to the length of the selected elongated light. Also provided is a lighting bollard assembly manufactured according to the methods of the present invention.

Method of manufacturing a lighting bollard assembly

A base assembly is provided for a power pedestal including an elongated housing and a plurality of electrical conductors enclosable by the elongated housing. The elongated housing has a first end and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. The base assembly includes a power pedestal base member having a first end and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. The second end of the base member is structured to be coupled to a platform. A connecting mechanism, such as a hinge assembly, is disposed at or about the first end of the base member and removably couples the first end of the elongated housing to the base member without a number of separate fasteners, thereby facilitating removal of the elongated housing from the base member. An electrical bus mount may be removably coupled to a mounting surface of the base member.
