Encryption interface technologies are described. A processor can include a system agent, an encryption interface, and a memory controller. The system agent can communicate data with a hardware functional block. The encryption interface can be coupled between the system agent and a memory controller. The encryption interface can receive a plaintext request from the system agent, encrypt the plaintext request to obtain an encrypted request, and communicate the encrypted request to the memory controller. The memory controller can communicate the encrypted request to a main memory of the computing device.

Encryption interface

An apparatus to facilitate security of a shared memory resource is disclosed. The apparatus includes a memory device to store memory data, wherein the memory device comprises a plurality of private memory pages associated with one or more trusted domains and a cryptographic engine to encrypt and decrypt the memory data, including a key encryption table having a key identifier associated with each trusted domain to access a private memory page, wherein a first key identifier is generated to perform direct memory access (DMA) transfers for each of a plurality of input/output (I/O) devices.

Direct memory access mechanism

Systems and techniques for a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) security plugin are described herein. A component message may be received at an interconnect endpoint from an SoC component. The interconnect endpoint may pass the component message to a security component via a security interlink. The security component may secure the component message, using a cryptographic engine, to create a secured message. The secured message is delivered back to the interconnect endpoint via the security interlink and transmitted across the interconnect by the interconnect endpoint.

Security plugin for a system-on-a-chip platform

Techniques for secure-chip memory for trusted execution environments are described. A processor may include a memory configured to interface with a trusted execution environment. The processor may be configured to indicate to a trusted execution environment that the memory supports dedicated access to the trusted execution environment. The processor may receive an instruction from the trusted execution environment. The processor may enforce an access control policy of an interface plugin to limit access of the memory by the trusted execution environment to a partition of the memory associated with the trusted execution environment. Techniques for secure-chip memory for trusted execution environments

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes: at least one core to execute instructions, the at least one core formed on a semiconductor die; a first memory formed on the semiconductor die, the first memory comprising a non-volatile random access memory, the first memory to store a first entry to be a monotonic counter, the first entry including a value field and a status field; and a control circuit, wherein the control circuit is to enable access to the first entry if the apparatus is in a secure mode and otherwise prevent the access to the first entry. Various embodiments are generally directed to an apparatus, method, and other techniques to provide direct-memory access, memory-mapped input-output, and/or other memory transactions between devices designated for use by an enclave and the enclave itself. A secure device address map may be configured to map addresses for the enslave device and the enclave, and a register filter component may grant access to the enclave device to the enclave.

System and method for enabling secure memory transactions using enclaves

This disclosure is directed to cryptographic protection for trusted operating systems. In general, a device may comprise for example, at least processing circuitry and memory circuitry. The device may be virtualized in that the processing circuitry may load virtual machines (VMs) and a virtual machine manager (VMM) into the memory circuitry during operation. At least one of the VMs may operate as a trusted execution environment (TEE) including a trusted operating system (TOS). The processing circuitry may comprise encryption circuitry to cryptographically protect the TOS. For example, the VMM may determine a first memory range in which the TOS will be loaded and store data regarding the first memory range in a register within the encryption circuitry. The register configures the encryption circuitry to cryptographically protect the TOS.

Cryptographic protection for trusted operating systems

Generally, this disclosure provides systems, devices, methods and computer readable media for virtualization-based intra-block workload isolation. The system may include a virtual machine manager (VMM) module to create a secure virtualization environment or sandbox. The system may also include a processor block to load data into a first region of the sandbox and to generate a workload package based on the data. The workload package is stored in a second region of the sandbox. The system may further include an operational block to fetch and execute instructions from the workload package.

In some embodiments, an apparatus may include one or more encryption engines to encrypt a unit of data to be stored in a memory in response to a write operation from a VM or an enclave of an application, prior to storing the unit of data into the memory in an encrypted form; wherein to encrypt the unit of data, the one or more encryption engines are to encrypt the unit of data using at least a key domain selector associated with the VM or enclave, and a tweak based on a color within a color group associated with the VM or enclave. Embodiments of the invention include a machine-readable medium having stored thereon instructions, which if performed by a machine causes the machine to perform a method that includes assigning an urgency of requests based on a priority level for incoming requests and associated entries in at least one priority queue, assigning an urgency delta for anti-starvation that indicates urgency promotion to prevent starvation for the incoming requests in the at least one priority queue, determining conflict information including whether an incoming request is dependent on any request already present in the at least one queue, determining all contending requests within the at least one priority queue during a cycle, and sending a selected contending request to a memory controller for accessing memory.

Techniques to enable scalable cryptographically protected memory using on-chip memory are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a processor component implemented on a first integrated circuit, an on-chip memory component implemented on the first integrated circuit, the on-chip memory component to include a memory page handler to manage memory pages stored on the on-chip memory component, and a cryptographic engine to encrypt and decrypt memory pages for the memory page handler, and an off-chip memory component implemented on a second integrated circuit coupled to the first integrated circuit, the off-chip memory component to store encrypted memory pages evicted from the on-chip memory component.
