According to an aspect a low noise electronic voltage regulator comprises a regulating transistor operative to regulate an input DC voltage to provide a regulated DC output voltage, an error amplifier configured to generate an error signal based on a reference voltage and a feedback voltage, wherein the error amplifier receiving the feedback voltage through a feedback loop formed between the regulated DC output voltage and the feedback voltage, and a first amplifier in the feedback loop providing a gain of greater than unity from the regulated DC output voltage and the feedback voltage.

Disclosed is circuitry for operating a switch which sees high voltage swings across its source, gate, drain, and bulk terminals. The circuitry generates one or more bias voltages in proportion to an input voltage swing. The one or more bias voltages may be used to bias the gate and bulk terminals to provide reliable and improved turn OFF performance in the switch.

According to an aspect of present disclosure, a set of power amplifiers are used to amplify power of a signal for transmission. The signal powers from a set of power amplifiers are coupled to set of primary windings which are commonly coupled to a secondary winding such that the powers on the primary windings are additive in the secondary winding. A current path on the primary side is provided for flow of a current that is induced on at least one primary winding when a power amplifier coupled to that primary winding is in 'off' state. As a result, the induced current is prevented from flowing in to the power amplifier that are in 'on' state. Further, the current path isolates the power amplifiers from each other thereby enabling the power amplifiers to operate at the rated efficiency. In one embodiment, the current path is provided using a resistor network.

System, method and device for power amplification of a signal in an integrated circuit

An area efficient baseband filter is disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, an apparatus includes a current to voltage (I-V) filter configured to receive an input current signal at an input port and generate a filtered output voltage signal at an output port based on a feedback transconductance. The input current signal comprises an input DC current in addition to a signal current. The apparatus also includes a feedback circuit connected between the output port and the input port, the feedback circuit having at least one transistor configured to couple the input DC current to a signal ground and to provide the feedback transconductance for the I-V filter.

A device includes multiple transceivers, a coupling block and an antenna. The transceivers operate according to time-division multiple access (TDMA) techniques. The coupling block is designed to enable the multiple transceivers to transmit or receive corresponding signals using the antenna. The multiple transceivers include a first transmitter and a second transmitter. The first transmitter is connected to the antenna via a first coupling network. The second transmitter is connected to the antenna via a series connection of a second coupling network and at least a portion of the first coupling network. Circuits for reducing power consumption in power amplifier circuits are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a circuit for power control in the transmitter includes a coupling circuit, a first power amplifier circuit and a second power amplifier circuit. The coupling circuit includes a primary winding inductively associated with a first secondary winding and a second secondary winding. The coupling circuit provides a signal at output terminals of the first secondary winding and the second secondary winding in response to a signal at the primary winding. A first power amplifier circuit is coupled with output terminals of the first secondary winding, and a second power amplifier is coupled with output terminals of the second secondary winding. The first power amplifier circuit and second power amplifier circuit are configured to be enabled or disabled based on a bias voltage.

A near field communication (NFC) transceiver contains a transmitter portion to generate a transmit wireless signal, and a receiver portion to receive and process a receive wireless signal. The circuit further contains a shunt capacitor, a switch, and an antenna interface to couple the transmitter portion and the receiver portion to an antenna designed to communicate with external antennas by inductive coupling. The switch couples the shunt capacitor in parallel with the antenna in one operational mode, and decouples the shunt capacitor from the antenna in another operational mode. Transmit and receive performance of the NFC transceiver are enhanced as a result.

Oscillator circuit for radio frequency transceivers. An oscillator circuit includes a first oscillator that generates a signal having a first frequency and a second oscillator that generates a signal having a second frequency. The oscillator circuit includes a mixer that is responsive to the signal having the first frequency and the signal having the second frequency to provide a signal having a third frequency and one or more frequency components. The oscillator circuit includes a filter that is responsive to the signal from the mixer to attenuate the one or more frequency components and provide a signal having a desired frequency. The oscillator circuit includes a correction circuit to correct a drift in at least one of the first frequency and the second frequency by controlling the second frequency, thereby correcting the drift in the third frequency and the desired frequency.
