Computer interfaces are provided for managing and deploying contextually relevant event canvases based on entity roles. Some systems are configured for identifying events and generating contextually relevant canvases associated with those events, which are contextually based on roles assigned to the events. A master canvas is also provided for facilitating navigation between the various canvases and to assign roles to the canvases, as well as for facilitating management configuration of the canvases. The master canvas includes a tabbed interface that allows navigation, configuration, and insight into the various canvases.

Dynamic incident console interfaces

Computer interfaces are provided for accessing and displaying content from disparate and remotely connected computer systems and that can be used for facilitating collaboration and visualization of physical and cloud resources for distributed event management. Systems are provided for generating, modifying, deploying, accessing, and otherwise managing the computer interfaces. Templates are used to build canvas interfaces that are contextually relevant for different entities based on the context of associated events and assigned roles of the entities with respect to the different events. The canvas interfaces can be used to access and orchestrate resources associated with the different events.

In-context event orchestration of physical and cyber resources

User interactions with a database storage system allow creation of virtual databases based on point-in-time copies associated with a source database. Multiple point-in-time copies are obtained for each source database. A point-in-time copy retrieves data changed in the source database since the retrieval of a previous point-in-time copy. A virtual database (VDB) is created by creating a set of files in the data storage system and mounting the files on a database server allowing the database server to access the files. User interactions allow the user to specify the source database, a point in time associated with the source database and a destination server to create the virtual database. User input can specify other attributes associated with the virtual database including the file paths, database parameters etc. The user can specify schedules of various actions, including making and retention of point-in-time copies.

Interfacing with a virtual database system

This invention is related to nucleic acid chemistry and describes novel 1,2-dithiolane functionalized nucleoside phosphoramidites (1, Chart 1) and corresponding solid supports (2, Chart 1). In addition to these derivatives, 1,2-dithiolane moiety can also be functionalized to at the various positions of the nucleobase and sugar part as shown in Schemes 1 to 8. The nucleosides of our invention carry a primary hydroxyl for DMTr (4,4'-dimethoxytrityl) function for chain elongation. Furthermore, the phosphoramidite function is attached at the 3&#x2032;-hydroxyl of the nucleoside. This allows oligonucleotide chain extension under standard DNA and RNA synthesis chemistry conditions and techniques, thus leading to high quality oligonucleotides. These derivatives are useful for introduction of reactive thiol groups either at 3&#x2032;- or 5&#x2032;-end of the oligonucleotides on the solid supports such as gold, silver and quantum dots.

Dithiolane functionalized nucleoside amidites and supports for stronger immobilization of bio-molecules on solid surfaces

Information from multiple databases is retrieved and stored on a database storage system. Multiple point-in-time copies are obtained for each database. A point-in-time copy retrieves data changed in the database since the retrieval of a previous point-in-time copy. A virtual database (VDB) is created by creating a set of files in the data storage system. Each file in the set of files created for a VDB is linked to the database blocks on the database storage system associated with a point-in-time copy of the source database. The set of files associated with the VDB are mounted on a database server allowing the database server to read from and write to the set of files. Workflows based on VDBs allow various usage scenarios based on databases to be implemented efficiently, for example, testing and development, backup and recovery, and data warehouse building.

Datacenter workflow automation scenarios using virtual databases

The thiol modified oligonucleotides have vast number of applications in the field of nucleic acid chemistry. The conjugates generated by mono thiol groups are unstable at higher temperature, in high salt concentration buffers and in presence other thiols. There is strong need to develop a novel thiol modifier probes that can generate multiple thiol groups. Described herein are efficient processes and compounds, dithiolane phosphoramidites derivative and dithiolane succinyl supports. The advantage of our cyclic disulfide thiol modifier is multifold a) each incorporation introduces two thiol groups; b) it can be introduced at any desired site of oligonucleotides; c) The symmetrical branching nature of the spacer in the linker arm of dithiolane allows for clean oligo synthesis, where cleavage of the linker arm and thereby of loss of oligo chain is prevented. We have successfully made 20-mer oligonucleotide containing single dithiolane derivative at 3', and 21-mer oligonucleotides containing single dithiolane derivative at 5&#x2032; or in the middle of the mixed base sequence. HPLC and ESI MS analysis of these oligonucleotides indicated satisfactory purity and correct composition of these oligos, respectively.

Dithiolane based thiol modifier for labeling and stronger immobilization of bio-molecules on solid surfaces

Techniques are provided for using bonds, which reflect relationships between items, to facilitate searches against the items. The degree of separation between any two given searchable items is based on the minimum number of bonds that have to be traversed to arrive at one of the two searchable items when starting at the other of the two searchable items. The bonds are used to respond to a search request, performing a search relative to a particular searchable item. For example, the search may involve only those searchable items that are within a particular degree of separation of the particular searchable item. As another example, the search may involve determining the order in which searchable items are compared against search criteria of the search request based on the degree of separation of the searchable items from the particular searchable item.

Contextual search of a collaborative environment

Techniques used in a relational database system for defining subclasses of built-in classes and thereby achieving columns in database tables which contain polymorphic objects of the built-in classes. The methods for the subclasses are contained in named packages. A table in the database system's schema relates the package name to a storage location managed by the relational database system that contains the compiled code for the package. When a method from the package is invoked, a dynamic linker uses the name and the table to locate the compiled code and then executes the compiled code. One thing that can be done with subclasses is to use a database system to automatically connect a Web user with a server of streaming data. The connection thus established is made by the server of streaming data to the Web user and thus bypasses the database system.

Method and apparatus for integrating data from external sources into a database system

Apparatus, methods, and computer program products are disclosed that present a delegated-right to a delegation system by a service-application provisioned with the delegation system. The delegated-right enables the service-application to perform an operation/access on behalf of a delegator-user. The method then attempts to perform the operation/access.
