Techniques for implementing a system that includes pipe segment tubing and a pipe fitting to be secured to the pipe segment tubing. The pipe segment tubing includes a reinforcement strip implemented between an internal pressure sheath layer and an outer sheath of the pipe segment tubing. The pipe fitting includes an inner fitting body to be inserted between the internal pressure sheath layer and the reinforcement strip of the pipe segment tubing. Additionally, the pipe fitting includes an outer fitting body to be disposed circumferentially around the inner fitting body to define a potting cavity between an inner surface of the outer fitting body and an outer surface of the inner fitting body, in which a hole is formed through the reinforcement strip of the pipe segment tubing before the reinforcement strip is anchored in the potting cavity via cured potting material.

Techniques for implementing and/or installing a system including pipe segment tubing and a swaged pipe fitting secured to the pipe segment tubing. The pipe segment tubing includes a carcass layer, an internal pressure sheath layer disposed around the carcass layer, a reinforcement layer disposed around the internal pressure sheath layer, and an outer sheath layer disposed around the reinforcement layer. The pipe segment includes tubing having an internal pressure sheath layer, a reinforcement strip, and an outer sheath layer. The potted pipe fitting includes an outer fitting body disposed around a portion of the reinforcement strip, an inner fitting body disposed between the portion of the reinforcement strip and the internal pressure sheath layer, in which the inner fitting body directly abuts the internal pressure sheath layer at least up to a point where the reinforcement strip begins to flare away from the internal pressure sheath layer and a potting cavity of the potted pipe fitting is defined at least between an inner surface of the outer fitting body and an outer surface of the inner fitting body, and cured potting material implemented around the portion of the reinforcement strip in the potting cavity.
